Sorry for the delay. The website of my source has been changed and the chart has a new look too, and it is now almost impossible to copy the chart into an excel sheet and edit it into a readable version so that I can post it here, so I needed to type in every single artist and song :(

In the future it will be now easier because I only have to add the new releases but as I'm not really interested in the album charts I won't do this with the albums. So I'll be glad if someone could do it and post it, or just send it to me, and I will add the albums to the second post.

Sorry to hear about that Ben. One of the options may be to post only a short version of the albums - perhaps a top 10 plus (or without) new entries, or give a link to the Album chart somewhere... :)

Yan's German chart comments - Issue date 18.06

With the World Cup gaining in momentum and the Eurovision song contest already a history, Lena has to retreat from the summit of the German singles chart and to make way for K'naan's "Wavin' Flag" to return there for a third non-consecutive week. The official tournament song by Shakira also moves up and takes deservingly the runner-up spot, while Lena rounds up the top three. Danish duo Safri Duo has also a reason to celebrate as it returns to the top 10 after more than ten years with "Helele". The football-related song soars to #5 from #11. Sportfreunde Stiller's "'54, '74, '90, 2010" hit also returns to the top 20, after it reached #1 four years ago, when it was actually called "'54, '74, '90, 2006" but after the failure of Germany to win the cup was suitably renamed... ;). Oliver Pocher's inevitable football song "2010 Wir gehen nur zurück, um Anlauf zu nehm'" jumps this week #31 from #44 but is a far cry from the top-three success of "Schwarz und Weiß" four years ago.

The Eurovision hype may more or less be over but the biggest new entry this week belongs to Madcon, who entertain Europe before the announcement of the winning results in Oslo. "Glow", which enters at #11, becomes the second top 20 hit of the duo after their take on "Beggin" reached #7 in 2008.

Also new at #28 is the collaboration between German rappers Fler and Bushido, while the duet between teen sensation Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston crashes and burns at #60 which once again shows that the screaming teen girls are not a force as long as the charts are concerned.

Despite losing the singles crown, Lena manages to fight off all competition for number one in the LP chart, where Helene Fisher's "Best Of" CD enters new at #2 and after "Zaubermond" and "So wie ich bin" becomes the third top three entry of the schlager singer. Next, U2's live album "U2 360° At The Rose Bowl" enters at #3, failing to become the ninth CD of Bono and co to take the number one slot. Also new, and perhaps staying for long, is the newest soundtrack to teen phenomenon Twilight at #4, while Christina Aguilera's "Bionic" comes in at #6 before I guess plummet in the next weeks...
