Hello,

I would like to know if there is a reliable and known site for gambling on the charts.

In some weeks the number one is well known in advance, such as next week's "california gurls" for a second week.

so why not bet on it?

can you give me information on this subject?

thanks.

I doubt you'd get good odds most of the time - it's usually obvious what is going to do well.

Of course, if anyone finds a dozy bookmaker who doesn't know about the midweek charts... :)

I think they only do bets for the Xmas #1?

Or should I say #2 since the X Factor mauled it.

There used to be flutter.com who took betting on weekly charts. You had to bet a week in advance before the records were released. They merged with betfair. Then they gave it up because it was stated that the charts today are open to manipulation & rigging i.e. downloads! You will have to stick to horses, greyhounds & other sporting events.

It`s true to say that there is more chance in winning money that way, than playing the lottery every week. There are many system bets, to be held in consideration, which are good in principle. But the thing is when you are winning don`t get greedy, because you will lose that way.

My brother used to play the lottery. Over a period of 2 years, he only won £20. Consider this though...every week he spent £10 on it. So in 2 years, he spent a thousand pound plus. Rather dodgy!

I do Horses & Greyhounds. Over 2 years I have accumalated £1,900. I started out with a pot of £200. It`s true to say that it`s easier to win money on Horses, in the Autumn/Winter months by doing the favourites at certain meetings, where the favourites are more likely to win. In the Summer, 2 year old non handicap favourites are supposed to have a good record. Though that has fallen over the past few years. Greyhounds in certain traps, have a better chance in some Greyhound races.

In the Winter months always look at Plumpton & Sedgefield Horse races, that are Novice Chases. Always place money on the favourites, and keep stakes the same. Most of all don`t put on more than 10% of your starting pot. Which in my case, was £20 & is now £190. You must always place the bet to win & not each way.

That`s the end of the lesson! If you are a child, ignore all i`ve said. I don`t condone gambling for under 18s.

Dave, thank you.

First, I'm from Israel, Second - I'm not interested much in sports, so I think I'll give up on this for now.

but thanks anyway for the long explanation, I appreciate the time you took for writing.

Good luck with the bets.
