January 18, 201114 yr I watched this last night after hearing it won Best Picture at the Golden Globes and after seeing it, I have one thing to say.. how?! Black Swan completely wipes the floor with it. I mean, fair enough, it was watchable. But it was 2 hours of basically nothing. The fact there was no on screen resolution was the main criticism I had with it. What was the point in going through the whole story to in fact just tell us how it ended instead of showing us? The cast were excellent, however. Jesse Eisenberg & Andrew Garfield in particular were fantastic. They turned a script made of nothing into something. Timberlake's character was quite amusing for me, as that is exactly how I imagine him to be. As Andrew Garfield's character described in the film.. a douchebag.

"Inception" sh"ts all over this film, on every level... This is one of Fincher's least films.... Compared to the likes of "Seven", "Fight Club", "Zodiac" and "Benjamin Button", this is really pretty artless, IMO.... For any other director this is a decent film, but Fincher is an exceptional film-maker who has made a really unremarkable film...
