I was thinking. Darius'll be 27 next month. It just doesn't seem that long ago I was satching a lovely 19yr old.

Who knows where he'll end up over Xmas. I know where I'll be. In the kitchen.

...but then it's the beginning of the New Year... :cheer:

And it'll be 2008 and we'll be wondering if it IS coming out that year.

So many years, so much entertainment. So many more to look forward to.

It seems that so much has happened in our lives too. We're all probably different to how we were 7 yrs ago. And we're all still here.

Is it 7 years? I thought Popstars was early in 2001 and Pop Idol in the late Autumn.

He was 19 for Popstars. I thought it was 2000 and then PI summer 2001

The programme was made in 2000. Darius was 19 when he auditioned in Glasgow. I'm not sure if he turned twenty while he was still in the running. Popstars went out in January 2001, firstly on Wednesdays but later on Saturdays prime time.

 

The last programme to select the band had 12 million viewers. There was another section to Popstars which followed the band as they got prepared for their debut. I remember nothing of the latter series and I didn't buy Pure and Simple.

Neither did I. Nor did I watch the follow up. I sort of lost interest when Darius wasn't in it any more.

Me too. I didn't see the concluding bits until I bought the video.

Not yet. I didn't get back to Comet today. I haven't left the house at all.
