This forum seems to have lost it's serious discussion.

It seems there are way to many new threads created with long articales that I can't be bother to read in full.

 

The last decent thread I read in here was the one about Ozzy and him taking measures to protect his physical safety.

It was greatly debateable.

Many of the new ones seem to be about matters of little seriousness. who cares really, if nuts is on the top or the bottom shelf in the newsagents?

Well maybe that is a little dismissive because somebody might feel passsionately, but I doubt it.

 

I've spend much of my life considering and researching 'thought provoking' stuff, so it's pretty amazing I don't find myself drawn into spending a lot of time here, but in practice I don't find anything of interest here anymore.

im fully aware of this situation.

 

tigerboy in particular has started loads of threads,,

 

but

 

they are within the remit (arnt they?) of the forums topics and i figured that they might stimulate some discussion. if they dont then they will drop out.

 

i dont know what scott thinks... scott?...

 

 

ill post more when i have the time, atm im bussy with work, and i have clare. (scott has ania) so i thought some new threads are better then none. however i take your point . i am open for ideas on this , pm me and ill sort when im available.

 

i dont see this as a serious problem, and believe that things go in cycles. things of a more serious/spiritual nature will take off.

It has to be said, some of Tigerboy's threads are a bit on the random side (particularly the Zoo/Nuts one) and I feel that ones like that should really be put onto The Lounge....

Oi Grim!! that's probably the least random thread in the whole forum. it is supposed to be a World News/Perspective area. and Claire Curtis-Thomas was in loads of the newspapers. but then again i'm coming to the conclusion that nobody here actaully gives a damn about anything in the news as normally it's all the meaning of life topics that get people going rather than x amount of people dead in a big disater type of thing.
