April 27, 201114 yr The documentary 'The Secret History of Eurovision' is being broadcast on More4 on Saturday 7th May at 9pm until 10.40pm :) http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsServlet?...ls_fullpage.jsp
April 27, 201114 yr Lena's Taken By A Stranger was apparently used in the background of a sequence in Hollyoaks earlier in the week - how bizarre, might get her a few extra votes from the UK when people recognise it in the contest :o And with Popular on Chart Show TV, it seems that a few of the entries are being heard pre-contest. Simon Webbe's been complaining that radio are refusing to playlist I Can, I don't blame him but it was entirely expected so I don't know why he's shocked  Problem is, Blue were never ignored by Radio 1 before and are one of the most loved bands of the 00s on commercial radio (I still hear All Rise, One Love, If You Come Back and Fly By II almost daily) so it must come as a surprise to them being snubbed by both.
April 27, 201114 yr At least they are (a bit) supported by TV, although still nowhere to be seen in TV airplay top-40. Their only way to get through this blockade is to win Eurovision I guess, yet I'm STILL not sure about the mass media backing. They will be supported more in the likes of Russia/Italy/everywhere else where they used to be big, rather than in the UK! April 28, 201114 yr Shirley's Angels (and Lina Hedlund lookalikes) Jessica Marberg and the one and only VERA PRADA will be on stage as backing vocalists for the Azerbaijan entry at Eurovision :o http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/melo...icle12937251.ab It seems like everyone but Shirley will make it to the contest  Apparently this is the third year in a row that the Azeri entry has been written and produced by Swedes, no wonder their entries are always so good - maybe they could save one for Sweden next year :D
April 28, 201114 yr Kati Wolf appears to have found her way into the top 20 on iTunes Sweden :o #16 last night although down to #22 now, must be getting pre-contest promotion... I really don't see this flopping as hard as Kate, Hera and Charlotte, and still reckon it's going top ten in the final, albeit the lower half. Hungary usually do fairly well with a decent entry, although lets face it, if Ukraine were sending it, it would be top 3 a la Shady Lady.

But Vera Prada is the next best thing I suppose...
April 28, 201114 yr What a name! *.* It's a shame R SHIRL didn't come along for the ride but it's true, that choreography WOULD'VE been too fabulous to ignore. We all know Ell & Nikki will probably have the stage presence of Lindsay Dracass and Andy Abraham, so it would've been zero competition :(
April 28, 201114 yr Norway must be REALLY bloody sick of Alexander Rybak by now. I mean, I already can't bear the idea of hearing Fairytale ever again, and that's just from all the reprises he was invited to!

I mean, I already can't bear the idea of hearing Fairytale ever again, and that's just from all the reprises he was invited to! Yeah sick of Fairytale, but we LOVE Alexander Rybak  TV2 even broadcasted the Swedish version of 'Dancing with the stars' because Alex R was in it  I don't know if you people saw the intro of MGP 2011, but it was a joke about Alex R starring Alex R :kink: PS: Maria Haukaas is getting red wine all over herself :kink: 43ybGWzHpRQ

We all know Ell & Nikki will probably have the stage presence of Lindsay Dracass and Andy Abraham, so it would've been zero competition :( Isn't it  Oh most definitely, can you imagine them strutting the I Thought It Was Forever moves in the background whilst Ell & Nikki fail to impress in the foreground, I mean they're taking enough of a risk getting Vera Prada on board, but with Shirley behind them too? Their thunder would be well and truly stolen. Norway must be REALLY bloody sick of Alexander Rybak by now. I mean, I already can't bear the idea of hearing Fairytale ever again, and that's just from all the reprises he was invited to! About as fed up as we are of Bucks Fizz? I wasn't even alive when they won but 30 years on Cheryl Baker and co are dragged out every April/May to discuss 'the skirts'. Maybe in 30 years time Alexander Rybak will still be a star (of sorts) popping up on every Eurovision related show in Norway to discuss his memories - I'll be surprised if his winning score is ever beaten, he literally had the perfect Eurovision song.

We saw him winning 2009, we saw him 'stalking' Lena in 2010, and we will see him reporting for Stella Mwangi in 2011... maybe he is a luck-troll as we say in Norway? :o http://lekmer.no/mediaarchive/1016445/karnan-lykketroll-gutt-44-cm.jpg http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/28414609/Alexander%20Rybak%20alex%20eurovision3.jpg
April 28, 201114 yr Just ordered the official programme to ESC 2011 :D Do you know of anywhere else to get it apart from the official shop as I don't really want to pay 10 euros P&P? :)
April 28, 201114 yr Do you know of anywhere else to get it apart from the official shop as I don't really want to pay 10 euros P&P? :) No :( 10 Euros sounds so cheap for me, I'm too afraid to find out how much it is in NOK :kink: I paied 29 Euro in total for it... looks cheap but If I try to calculate, it's about 290 NOK  :(
