As awful as Russia's song was this year, it was very unique. I didn't like it qualifying, but I wasn't really that surprised.

I hope you're talking about the entries to ESC...

Honestly, I sorta like Russia's song

Yes

- Serebro :P

Serebro was fantastic! Hardly down there with Mamo and Lost and Forgotten...
Indeed, Song #1 is easily Russia's best entry of recent times, if not ever. Fantastic/contemporary/instantly catchy/great production - what more could you ask for :D
And our public didn't participate in choosing it! :D

Wow :o odd choice but interesting! I wish I could go but I have an exam on the day before the final :/
Quelle surprise! Well, not really given the rumours have been floating around since early September after several stadium users had to renegotiate contracts, but still
Good luck anyone wanting to go to the contest next year, just looking on Booking.com, a room in Dusseldorf on May 14th will set you back over £250  and this is a 2 star hotel...

The city with the biggest arena, I think :w00t: More chance of getting tickets I guess :D

The Eurovision website says...

Later this year a selection of pre-booked hotels will be made available for accredited press and fans. The accreditation window for press and fans is expected to open on 25 January. Accreditation will take place online.

Does anyone know what it means by fan accreditation?

So.. no article about Rybak being unwanted to China?

Today we got the message from the Chinese Ministry of Culture that the show is unwanted in China.

The surprising cancellation comes four days after the Norwegian Nobel Committee gave this year's Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo.
