I can see both of your arguments. However, I do agree with the California Girls comparison people will not be driving around blaring that out their cars in October and I see a similar thing with Start Without You. I remember when I first heard this I thought it was going to be a huge summer hit and now it is released in September. What I think the problem is going to be is that it will have no lasting effect on the charts as people will not be in the mood for it when the Autumn sets in.

 

As for the re-release of Overcome, I'm beginning to get confused as to whether it is a good idea to release The Silence to push album sales as everyone already has this song. They should have something else up their sleeves despite. The Silence being so good.

 

Main point Alexandra has now had 4 singles out of X Factor and she really needs a ballad which won her core votes.

Yeah i'm trying to think when it'll be released. Is cheryl doing a re-release still or is that not happening due to her being ill?

I'm sure Leona will have a re-release of echo so i'm wondering when will that be released, a month after alexandras? That would mean december, i guess thats a possibility but i think alex will be october and leona novemeber like last year. Maybe they'll have smaller gaps imbetween, say 2/3 weeks instead of 4. However cheryl and alex clashed last year anyway so may happen again as only a week gap.

I can't see Cheryls album coming out in October anymore when she has cancelled V festival. That would only give her 6 weeks to get all the photo shoots, recording, video shoot and rehearsals done. I just can't see it.

Hmmm a reliable source on Digital Spy said that the only Leona release this year would be the tour DVD...or maybe he said that a new studio album wouldn't be released this year? Can't remember. :unsure: But I guess a re-release doesn't count as a new studio album. Tbh I'd like to see this "new" Leona when the third album is released, not on an Echo re-release.

 

Hopefully it will be 'Scene of the Crime'-type material. :D

 

I would guess 3 new tracks on Alex's re-release if I look at Leona's Spirit deluxe edition as a template. Obviously one of them would be 'Start Without You'. I'm hoping for more ballads this time around. The best tracks on Overcome are 'The Silence' and 'Overcome' - both ballads. 'All Night Long' is probably the best track actually but if you exclude that, the ballads come out on top. :P

Regarding Leona, I'm hoping for an 'Outta My Head'/'Sweet Dreams'/'Happy' medley - OMH to sell Echo and to showcase her performance skills, SD as it's very energetic and 'Happy' because I adore that song and it might gain a few more sales. :P

 

Rihanna released 'Rehab' from her GGGB re-release but then again that was the third single. Yeah it would be weird but remember that Syco are weird in general. :lol:

Cheryls album will probably be more than a bit delayed as she needs to release it when the xfactor shows are on. It might not come out until Oct 2011 now. Having said that, i wouldn't be surprised if it came out sometime this year as there will be a lot of people involved who want it out before christmas.

I'd love a 'Broken' performance but the general public need to realise that Leona isn't a one trick pony. A medley of the three aforementioned songs would show that she is versatile. ^_^

 

I think 'Broken' was left out of the tour because it was very challenging vocally and she had so many songs to sing (and quite a few ballads). I doubt she'd be given more than one performing slot. :P That's why I suggested a medley.

 

I hope there is like slow, ballad-type music at the beginning and then she breaks into 'Outta My Head'. It would give the audience the shock of their lives. :lol:

I don't want her to conform or follow trends and she definitely has to have at least 40% ballads on her next album but I think an up-tempo XF performance would shut the haters up and will allow her to gain new fans. Some people who have written her off previously as a performer would be be captivated by her OMH performance and then would hopefully purchase the tour DVD and would be won over.

Whatever happened to 'The Silence'...? The only stand-out track from her album to be honest and yet she releases the mediocre 'Bad Boys' (and collaborates - a sure sign of confidence I'm sure), the lukewarm 'Broken Heels', and another collaboration, 'All Night Long'.

 

And look, there's yet another collaboration lined up for September... joy.

 

Considering her competition that week... she's got McFly's 'party Girl' which has already done quite a bit more than turn a few heads, and she's up against massive comebacks from Alesha Dixon and The Script.

 

But i still reckon she'll get it, just like how I despise Taio Cruz's 'Dynamite' but you can tell it's weekly cometition is dire, so it'll be a surefire #1. MARK MY WORDS!
