The Silence is being released at Christmas if rumours are to be believed. I don't think Red One would give her that track for it to stay on the album.

You'd be surprised, this is the same label that let a pop song in the calibre of 'Outta My Head' go to waste for another artist.

I want 'The Silence' to be released still though, really great ballad.

i think it could get to number 1 now.

Gutted shes up against Alesha my two fav songs at the moment but unless something unexpected happens I think Alex will go to No 1.I get the feeling the video has been completely redone and all the Summer things are now gone.

Alex confimred in her last tweet session that a ballad was next, I imagine it will be The Silence.

Alesha Dixon stands no chance of top 5 let alone #1. I hope. I pray. Alex's song is far better and that's saying something! :heehee:

I hope she does release The Silence though. A big XF performance would certainly help it, though I wonder if they shouldn't go with a new ballad instead as an extra lure to make people want to buy the reissused album.

What am I missing why all the hate for Alesha's song really I dont get it.The song is lively, the video looks great and she gives a good live performance.

I think The Silence is like All Night Long the fans favorite so they are likely to stick to that.A supposed insider was saying she would perforn The Silence with a big choir on the X-factor.I can only listen to The Silence live though not overly fond of he album version.

McFly's physicals might get to no.1 over this. I'm sick of this song now and it don't sound good live either.

Top 5.

About a month ago I would have loved for this to have gone to number 1, but I'm a bit bored of it now

I understand why they have pushed the release date back, but its a Summer song being released in September ?

& then I'm guessing she will be releasing The Silence quite soon after Start Without You for an X Factor Performance in November/December ?

Surely McFly are on the road of the curse of every boy band, teen girl fans who have grown up and moved on.I am sure they will do well but even strong physicals are not likely to get them to No 1.

It is a pretty dire week for releases but I can see The Script and Justine doing well.

Justin Bieber ?

No way will he get anywhere near the top spot. Somebody to love couldn't even make top 30 even with the help of Usher

I predict a similar chart position for U smile

I think this will reach #4 and Mcfly will top the chart that week!

It sounds like it belongs in an advert for tropical squash

It also sounds like Boney M's "Hooray Hooray, It's A Holi-Holiday"

Just heard this for the first time on YouTube and this is exactly what I thought. I quite like the Europop sound about it - a bit like 'Alejandro' by Lady GaGa which I'd say, imo, the two are about as good as each other.

As for Alexandra Burke singles, I prefer 'Bad Boys' and 'All Night Long'. This has potential to go top 5 but I'll go for top 10 (peak somewhere between 6-10).

I suspect Taio Cruz and Brandon Flowers will chart higher when these singles are released.

Edit; Is McFly released the same week now? On the release schedule, it says 'Party Girl' is released on 6th September - two weeks after Alexandra Burke?

X Factor premieres sept 4th right? So if Syco is smart they premiere the Start Without You video during X Factor.

Start Without You release date has been pushed back to 6th September

Now that this has been moved back to 6th September I think it stands a good chance of #1, but many people seem to be quite bored of it now so that might effect it's position.
Has the video for this aired yet?

Nope. Yesterday she just finished filming it. Part of it was filmed a few weeks ago in the US, but they didn't seem happy with just that so they filmed some parts in London and Alexandra announced on her Twitter yesterday it was a wrap.

I really like this but i don't think it will hit number one. I think it's fun and catchy and probably her best single yet. I didn't like the context of bad boys and broken heels as songs, even though they were catchy. So this beats them all in being simply fun.

Why r1 aren't behind this, i don't know and i think that will affect it from being no1.

Top 5 - 3/4 i reckon.

Only now started to hear radio airplay so its reaching the masses now!
