wow, I really enjoyed the show last night!! husband did also - and he appreciated the naughty girl and was glad to be front row LOL

Husand really felt Darius was suited to Frank Sinatra etc songs and sang really well.

I personally could have listened to Darius sing like that forever, the show went so quickly!

I also only just took enough money to cover all my purchases - mug, CD, programme etc as I wasnt thinking there would be anything to buy!!

great to see meg, Pam, Chris and Nina xxx

and as usual, while my mind was whirling with how to say I though Darius had been sublime etc - I just couldnt get it out, especially when he said Denie was a pretty name and that he had a co witter producer with that name - all I mustered was " thanks and - I know"(I always feel so embarrassed that Darius makes me feel like a swooning teenager inside - and being 50 on the outside LOL) OH still taking the preverbial out of me this morning.

I have been told to definately book for Wycombe - front seats if possible, not sure if thats for D or the stripper LOL

Both Husband and I thought that this genre really needs to be seen live with the live band, it really doesnt convey the fire and energy on CD etc I genuinely get bored of this sort of music on radio or CD as a rule, but loved the whole thing last night as did husband.

As a first show I thought it was fantastic!! although I really got the jitters especially when it was a little late starting - praying it would all go well as Darius had co produced all of this

just to add, Colourblind done big band - I LOVED it!!! brought the biggest beam to my face when I realised that was what he was launching into

Thanks Pip, he seems to be covering the country. Glad you enjoyed the show....but I still have very mixed feelings

about his change of genre.

Great photos Nina. Did you enjoy the swing?

Swing isn't my type of music Bramley. However Darius sounded fantastic. As well as the well known tunes he sang his three new songs, Devil in You and Colourblind but Big band does nothing for me and the music played before the show and in the interval just depressed me.

Aww, i'm so glad you enjoyed it :)

Great that Darius sang his 3 new songs aswell!

What was there to buy and what were the prices of things ? Just so i'm prepared for wimbledon next month :-)

I didnt like the piped music at all tbh

I really dont go for swing as a rule - but it must be the Darius singing live effect - not sure if I will feel the same of the CD, already thinking I will skip all th enon Darius tracks - I think it really was the fact that it was live, and Darius was the singer. I wont be buying or listening to any other swing mind you - ie if it had been Jamie Cullum etc up there..I wouldnt have even contimplated going

on sale were programmes, mugs, keyrings, CDs -( t shirts were shown in th eprogramme)- cant imagine those into big band wearing t shirts LOL, all the same price as I recall at GWTW, it cost me 26 for a mug, prog and CD..

You could by a programme, CD, Mug and keyring. All four could be purchased for £30

The programme was £10

The CD £10

The Mug £6.50

and the keyring (£5 I think)

Darius was available after the show to sign CDs and programmes

We didn't see him before the show, only after

sorry, another question. Lol

What time did the show finish/ Darius finish signing stuff ?

We are driving to wimbledon next month and need to sort carparking out :-)

Sooooo glad that everyone that went last night had such a Fantastic time.......and that Darius was as Fantastic as he always is!! :yahoo: ......OMG soooooo Fab that he sang hsi 3 new songs too!! ............Lovely pics too..........Darius is looking as Gorgeous as ever  ! Glad that you managed to see Darius after the show and spend some time with him. shame that you didn't see him before the show though...what did did you arrive at the stage door though?

Omg soooooooo cant wait to see him next month even more now!!

just editing to ask.......how long was he on stage for?.........even though no amount of time is long enough!

Edited by darius4me

The first half is an hour long and Darius was on stage for probably about half that time both singing and narrating. There were quite a few tunes that featured only the Big Band and some where a girl was on stage doing her burlesque act.

The second half was half an hour long and in this part Darius was on for most of the time - It is in this half that he sings Devil in You, the three new songs and Colourblind.

Ooh, i expected the show to be longer... especially the 2nd half.. half an hour doesn't seem very long at all :-(

Then again however long it is it won't be long enough... I could listen/watch Darius all night :-)
