BT, Nova only stripped to the waist once at Woking - and then the bra was just thrown on the stage as she walked into the wings. It's better that way. I must say that a number of the older members of the audience really didn't like her.

Unless I was too busy watching Darius, I'm certain that she only appeared in her lingerie once before she put on a basque and then tried on various gowns.

 

Glasgow has very strict local laws about exotic (burlesque?) dancers. I think they have to perform in premises licensed for adult entertainment. The Kings isn't.

 

To be honest, i didn't like her being there. She was just an unnecessary distraction as far as I was concerned. I'm with those who think either darius should have sung more or he should have had a guest female vocalist.

Manchester Opera House ticket sales seem to be offline. at the moment

Great!! The trouble with The Opera House is that it doesn't seem to have a direct telephone number through to the box office, just a line to Ticketmaster, and the box office is only open for two and a half hours prior to each performance so it makes it harder to go and get tickets in person. I could only get through on the phone, by ringing admin at The Palace Theatre, so they don't seem to make it easy. I really hope the cheap tickets work, but I'm not holding my breath because it's so late. I know Darius couldn't because of other commitments, but I'm sure an appearance at The Trafford Centre, like he did at Wimbledon would have helped.

Where are the tickets on sale for £10? Have just looked at the Ticketmaster site and they are still full price. Sue

The normal link for tickets is dead. Worries me in case something has gone wrong. The Opera House seems to have been so negative the whole way through

All the links seem to not be working for me at the moment - not the ones through thhe History of the Big Bands sit or through the Opera House, the given link for the £10 tickets or ticketmaster.

Seems to be a problem with ticketmaster
