October 27, 201014 yr Thanks. Some faces I recognise there too, megham. He's not going to get that much time for a break, is he? About ten days?
October 27, 201014 yr very wierd about the ticket situation at Manchester? I didnt even notice the bra coming off, had to ask hubby, needless to say he explained exactly when LOL I didnt mind her this time, but I was happy because darius was on stage singing a lot more than last time I saw the show, much more it seemed to me, and her being on stage with him didnt distract me - I certainly wouldnt have wanted another vocalist, and defo not a female one - but thats because I am exclusive in my vocal taste as hubby puts it. liking a lot of songs - but only if D is singing them LOL Bromely looks more or less sold out - only odd seats, although the top tier isnt open? October 27, 201014 yr First they don't start any publicity until less than a week before the show and then they make it almost impossible to buy a flipping ticket. If you don't know something is on, you can't go. If you find out something is on in a couple of days and you happen to be able to free on the night, then you might just try to get some tickets but if you then can't do it, would you persevere or just say "oh well it was a good idea".
October 27, 201014 yr Manchester has been particularly bad. They have been paid to publicise the show and haven't and even the radio presenter who interviewed Darius did it in a lukewarm way
October 27, 201014 yr very odd - something does whiff though, well being the saddo i am - counting it looks roughly 300 tickets sold - doesnt look as if it will be starkly lacking an audience - but it isnt as full as the others have been or will be.will be interesting to see how it pans out on the night Edited October 27, 201014 yr by prettyinpink
October 27, 201014 yr i used the link on twitter, and just now through darius' facebook link to history of big band site,,it went through to the ticketmaster moh site, i chose my seats and it went through to the next section ok..is something not working furtheralong, i didnt do the code verifier so dont know if it would go right through to order confirmation though Edited October 27, 201014 yr by prettyinpink
October 27, 201014 yr Where are they advertising the £10 ticket deal, is it only on Ticketmaster website? Does anyone apart from us know about it? Going to the seat plan from the History Of The Big Bands website, it doesn't look like anymore seats have been sold today at all. The way the whole Manchester thing has been handled is disgusting, but it gives the critics more bullets to fire at Darius doesn't it? You can see the review now 'half empty theatre etc. etc.' If somebody has been paid to do the publicity for this they want shooting. To be honest, it's taken the pleasure away from going on Friday night. I know it's silly, but I feel so protective towards Darius (it's that mother thing again), the last thing I want him to do is to perform to empty seats. Sue
October 27, 201014 yr the link was on manchester operahouse theatres twitter, dont know if its advertised else where that is the trouble, the other venues were full - yet if any single review coverage appears you sort of know it will be from manchester the link was on twitter, amazed that a venue at a larger place is the worst one for promo and easiness of buying tickets online etc Edited October 27, 201014 yr by prettyinpink

Wonder if there's a poster outside the theatre with it on or if it's in the local paper. Something tells me it won't be. It's certainly not in our local paper. Sue
October 27, 201014 yr link to ticketsales site this is the link the operahouse tweeted the code you need to use is darius and this is oh twitterpage link Edited October 27, 201014 yr by prettyinpink
October 28, 201014 yr Looks like a few seats have actually been sold today, if we had another week to go it might have been a different story. Sue
October 28, 201014 yr Yes, I've noticed that more seats have been sold today. I've put posters up and given out flyers, but it is short notice. I agree that if there was more time before the show it might be different. Let's just hope that a few more tickets are sold tonight and maybe even on the door tomorrow. Hope to see you tomorrow Sue.
