October 31, 201014 yr i think its the worry that makes the relief all the sweeter when it comes So true!! We should all be used to worrying by now, it comes as part of the deal. Sue
October 31, 201014 yr We only worry because we care about him! We probably don't need to worry so much. I know it's hard at times but he really is worth it!!
November 1, 201014 yr If he could learn not to be so hard on himself and let himself relax more often in the UK instead of disappearing off to LA and losing impetus and if I had confidence in those who are supposed to be looking out for his interests, I might not. Sadly, any thought of the latter was shattered by the disorganised chaos before the Manchester gig! Edited November 1, 201014 yr by Baytree
November 1, 201014 yr We will always care about Darius because we Love him and he means so much to all of us , and he is just so Amasing  :D Have a realy Amasing time everyone who is seeing him at Bromley tonight!! :yahoo: Edited November 1, 201014 yr by darius4me
November 1, 201014 yr yes, its great that bromley is a sellout, another great evening awaits those going for sure.
November 1, 201014 yr There were only 3 that were a problem really and one of those wasn't really, just needed a bit more publicity. Manchester turned out OK in the end as well. Just Eastbourne left to go. All the others sold fine from the beginning.
November 1, 201014 yr Absolutely brilliant night in Bromley! As was said it was a sell out and a very appreciative crowd. Finally got to say hello to Julia, Wendy and Alison....well I couldn't miss them this time as they were 2 seats away from us in the front row.....then there was Sue and Gina to the left of us....so Darius had plenty of familiar faces to smile down too.....oh that smile and that wink!!!! Didn't stay for the signing afterwards as there was a huge crowd, I'd got my programme signed last time....and Darius knew I was there as we were right in the centre of the front row :-) Amazing show.....can't wait for Croydon next year now!!!
November 2, 201014 yr Soooooooo glad that you had such an Amasing time last night Sue :D .....shame that you didn't get to meet Darius afterwards again this time, but its Great that he knew you were there and omg he winked at you too!! *faints*! So Wonderful that it was onc eagain a sell out and once again there was a huge crowd waiting to meet him afterwards!! :cheer: Sooooooo cant wait for Croyden neither!!! :yahoo:
November 2, 201014 yr Had a wonderful time at Bromley yesterday... we were in the front row along with Sue and her husband, Suzanne and Gina and the stage was so low Darius was almost within touching distance!!lol! Nova's routines have been tamed down since we saw her at Wimbledon - there was a very young boy sitting at one of the tables on the stage, so I guess that may have been the reason. A few people commented to us that they did not really appreciate her part in the show!! :nono: - It's a shame because I think she adds humour (and glamour).... we had a chat with her afterwards and she is a lovely girl (very pretty close-up!) - she interviewed us and recorded it on her phone, so I don't know what she will do with that!!lol! Darius is working so hard - his voice was excellent throughout - and he was his usual charming self after the show with the patience of a saint (he needs it with me!!lol) :teresa: :heehee: We had a great time... we're not going to Eastbourne and didn't book the pantomime for risk of picking a day he somehow didn't perform, so now we have nothing definite booked and I have withdrawal symptoms again... I need to have something to look forward to.. when Darius??? Julie (Wendy and Allison)
November 2, 201014 yr glad you enjoyed it, young boy at a table on stage?? sounds bizzarre - my hubby as disappointed she seemed to have tames it down since st albans tbh - she is lovely and he had his photo taken with her. does seem odd now its drawing to a close there is nothing to look forward to till next year(no way I can get to glasgow) - prays he does continue - as I will definately be going again!
November 2, 201014 yr It was a lot different from the Wimbledon show?!!! I didn't like the new set up with the tables (and members of the public???) on the stage, it made it look really cluttered and untidy. I love Nova and so does Chris! We chatted to her at Wimbledon and Chris also had his photo taken with her. The whole comedy thing with her putting her clothes on was much better than the latter where she takes them off!!! But she does play a vital part in the show in my opinion. There were no jive dancers this time which I thought was another nice touch at the Wimbledon show. It was my choice not to stay behind and meet Darius this time Sharon....I was happy with the fact that he knew I was there to support him (and always will be - finance permitting) so I left him to his long queue of fans and got home early for a change. I've done 5 gigs in 8 days this past week so am a bit shattered!!!!
November 2, 201014 yr mere people on stage?at tables..oh no, no,no - I am only just about allowing Nova to share - I wouldnt want anyone else cluttering up my view of Darius up there. I see they may be trying to add the bar room feel, but with the band as well..if it was said that it would be bigger and better perhaps they are trying out things. I may like to volunteer ot be one of the people if they are looking for the public to sit there..
November 2, 201014 yr Don't like the sound of that at all. It sounds like downmarket cabaret. I prefer that the emphasis should be on Darius and the solo instrumentalist. If he gets too tangled up in the history, it'll detract from the impact of the music. Edited November 2, 201014 yr by Baytree
November 2, 201014 yr There weren't any tables on the stage at Manchester, nor dancers, but the stripping had definately been toned down since Darlington, perhaps they realise some people aren't too keen on it. Shame because she seems such a part of the show now. I would like to see some newsreel footage of the day, or similar, projected onto the stage behind the orchestra during some of their numbers to show what was happening at the time the big bands were playing.
