July 3, 201015 yr Like others have said it's merely the luck of the draw. If Gomez had been cast as Hannah Montannah I'm pretty sure the roles would've been reversed. I don't think they would have. HM was changed quite a lot when Miley got the part; Billy Ray was cast, names were changed and her whole back story was rewritten to mirror Miley's real life. I think it made the show a lot more personal and believable which helped make it a bigger success. Any young Disney actress could've played Selena's role in WOWP but I don't think anyone else could've really played Miley's part in HM as well as she has done. And whether they like her or not I don't think people can deny Miley has tons more personality than Selena. I really like Selena, but I think Miley has all round more star quality. I think luck only plays a fairly small part. In my opinion Miley has 'it' - that factor Britney had back in the day, that extra something which Beyonce has or which Madonna has always had. She just makes perfect sense as a popstar somehow. To me anyway. Helps that she's made the pop album of the year.
July 4, 201015 yr TBH, I know I am one of very few who think this but Miley is SO beautiful for me now. Her teeth have been fixed and she looks better with every to me, I mean compare what she looked like in the music vids for her 'Breakout' era to the music vids for 'Party in the U.S.A.' or 'The Climb' where she is absolutely to die for! :wub: And she always looks gorgeous on her red carpet appearances - see TCA nomination for best red carpet fashion sense. And that's the difference between Miley and Selena, and most other pop stars today. Miley is constantly growing and stepping it up.

For someone who has the chance to become 'the next Britney Spears', she's definitely going the wrong way about it.
