The ratings are bad because it's 3 seasons too long with no answers. The constant changing of suspects, the red herrings, the random storylines that mean nothing. I mean can someone remind me the significance of the gas mask/black veil/moma being dead in a car boot?

That was a tough episode to watch with

Spencer going back into her addiction to pills

and

Hannah basically breaking up with Caleb

I don't believe that

Charles is dead, or that he's Jason and Alison's sibling

, I think he's probably their cousin or something like that.

Everyone who's died on this show has turned out to be alive so why would Charles be any different

It's been a very strong opening to the season with the only flaw being not a lot of Mona. I mean 5 episodes until we seen her again and she's one of the main characters who would have suffered the most. Sara is a horrible actress by the way.

 

My thoughts on last night episode.

- Charles is 100% the brother of Alison & Jason. I was positive that he was sent to Radley and now it's obvious he was friends with Bethany.

 

My Theory

Charles & Bethany were best friends at Radley. Bethany's drawings were Jessica stealing Charles away from Radley (which makes perfect sense now). Bethany escaped on the night and was murdered. Charles seen his best friend die and decided to take revenge on people who he believed to be responsible. Jessica was hiding Charles away at the Aunts house.

 

I still think Cece is involved in this and believe Sara is still helping Charles. Sara could have been Red coat and I noticed that Sara liked going on roofs? Marion was pushed off a roof. I think Sara was also a patient at Radley.

yea I agree that Charles and Bethany are connected, definitely via Radley. Sara is really shady though and I don't like her character at all but she obviously ties into the story more than we think. It's not a coincidence that she's blonde as well as CeCe, Bethany, Alison too, I'd like to think she's maybe Bethany but Bethany was found in the grave so idk. It would make sense to why Charles would kidnap her, he wanted to keep her close and make sure she could never run away again.

Did A make her dye her hair blonde though?

Our theories are quite similar...

 

Mine is that Charlie was responsible for Alison's arm injury at a young age. I think he was very fond of Alison but had some severe anger issues. He got sent to Radley where he met Bethany. They became friends and he he started seeing her as a sister. Mrs. D got on the board of Radley to maintain her relationship with Charlie and began an affair with Bethany's father... AN affair that Toby's mother found out about. Worried that she was going to ruin their seemingly family unit, both Bethany and Charlie conspired to push her off the roof of Radley and then escape.

 

Bethany escaped first. Hit Alison over the head, which Charlie then watched. Overwhelmed by horror of seeing his "new" sister attack his real sister, he killed Bethany in an accidental moment of anger. Mrs. D hid him from the world, whilst he lived in guilt, not knowing the real Alison was alive. When he learnt that Alison was alive, he killed him mother in yet another moment of anger, thinking she had lied to him and used the girls to track Alison down. All the while kidnapping Sara Harvey to have a "new" sister.

The ratings are sliding because the show is making less and less sense as it goes on.

I know it never really made much sense to begin with but I'm having a hard time believing that Charles is doing all of this to the girls just because they associate with Alison.

I mean, we know he's mentally unstable, but it's unbelievable for him to submit 4 'innocent' girls to years and years of torment because they're friends with his sister?!

 

Both of your theories make sense when it comes to who he and Sara could be but it really doesn't answer why he's doing what he doing.. especially to the core 4.

The only thing I can't decipher is why he never went after Mr. D when it seems evident the issues came from him

It wouldn't surprise me if Spencer actually did kill Bethany.

 

There's going to be so much answered in the finale and it's not even that far away but I'm guessing Charles is either Lucas or Wren. Everything connects and I'm guessing that Marion's death will also be explained very soon.

 

Maybe Charles blames the liars for the death of Bethany Young who I'm guessing was his best friend in Radley and is trying to punish the girls, what we need to take into consideration though is that Charles has never actually killed the liars. Black Veil and Charles could be up against each other.

 

I think we'll sympathise with Charles as all he wants is a sister, he even took Sara Harvey after believing that both Bethany and Alison were dead. I'm guessing we will have a better idea within the next two weeks because each episode is getting better and better.

 

I wonder if ratings will improve with the time jump?

Yea, I'm pretty lost with the plot at the moment too. Wren seems to be the favourite for A atm in any theories I've read recently, although I'm having a hard time imagining he is related to Ali and Jason but I guess it's possible. I will post some links to these kinda theories tomorrow at some point probably. I definitely think there's still an 'uber A' that's working against Charles like Lee said and the whole black veil thing never really ended so that's probably still relevant. I think Bethany and Charles are related somehow whether it be that they're family or just friends idk

These next three don't really sum anything up, I just thought they were quite cool and gave me something new to think about (1) (2) at the moment I'm thinking that little girl could be Sara's little sister and she's told her to say that to Hanna's mum? (3) I think the part about the drawings is interesting and backs up my idea on how I think Charles and Bethany are related I guess

I don't think Charles is dead at all, apparently it said he died of organ failure yet he donated his organs?? that just wouldn't happen. I think the whole "A is a girl" thing is to make us think more about black veil who I'm thinking is CeCe. We will probably find out who she is by the end of this season instead of Charles.

Are we still getting a series from A's perspective? Or is that idea cancelled?

And remind me the significance of black veil?

I didn't know there was plans to be a series from A's perspective but that would be interesting to see. I heard that season 7 is the liars lives after A but that doesn't sound that interesting so I hope they do a series from A's point of view. I'm not too sure on who Black Veil (or Black Widow as some people call her) is, the only time we've seen her is at Wilden's funeral, I thought it was Red Coat but apparently that's just a presumption, if they aren't the same person I'd say Red Coat is an ally to either Charles or Black Veil.

I believe that everything from A's perspective will be announced in the finale on why he has been tormenting the girls. Charles is obviously alive and I wish the girls wouldn't be gullible to believe that. I can't see Charles being anyone other than Jason or Wren now. Jason has always had a massive obsession with Aria's pink hair and A- has never physically ever tried to kill anyone? We don't know for sure if it was A- who murdered Jessica either.

 

I would say that Black Veil and Red Coat are the same person as Black Veil was at the lodge fire. Red Coat is shown in the finale also judging by Marlene's tweets so we will find out if it's one or two people in the finale. It's really going to be an incredible finale. I feel like this has been the best season yet minus Sara.

Black Veils identity is being revealed in 6A, which means maybe Charles' reveal will be the finale episode. Hopefully we will be getting some actual answers soon. I think Black Veil is CeCe and Red Coat is her minion, RC is probably one of the characters that's in it regularly that we like. Wren is looking like the most likely suspect for Charles as well.
