backstory though, like I said in a post months ago it is interesting, plus

representation for transgender people etc.

I do wish they had went into more depth about Charles

transitioning into Charlotte

though, it was pretty much skimmed over as were most of the details because Marlene was over ambitious and tried to cram everything into one episode. It's not like the previous episodes had much going on, they could easily have spread it out and went into more depth about everything.

 

Things like the timeline are messed up though, like

Marion died in 2007 yet Charles looked about ten there, surely he'd have been much older

, six seasons and the writers can't do the right amount of research and planning to make sure their end game matches up with everything. It feels like

being A wasn't planned, that it was a last minute decision as a lot of things just don't make sense. I would be fine with all of that though, it's

It's so obvious that the writers had no idea who A- was.

 

Wren is obviously lying, he provided CECE with a visiting past to Radley but Cece was already a patient at Radley... It makes NO sense. The whole red coat / bw is still annoying me, Sara wasn't going to be a character until 1 year ago and A- and black veil were already decided. Marlene claimed black widow was end game. It needed to be Melissa.

Cece was ALSO helping Ali when Ali was alive. It's lazy writing and i'm rly rly rly annoyed. Marlene has treated the audience like idiots.

It's ridiculous. I'm guessing it was actually a schedule clash with Julian Morris and CeCe as A was the next best thing. I hope Marlene is regretting this decision and is actually doing her job and thinking of some way this can be sorted so it's not such a disaster, although I don't see how that can happen though, it's probably just gonna get brushed under the rug and covered over with whatever drama is about to unfold in the time jump and we are never gonna get the solid answers we've been waiting for for 3 seasons.

I've also seen someone suggest that maybe Wren was A but after the reddit thread Marlene decided to rerecord the finale.

Pretty much the whole #FaceToFace thread was people saying how disappointed they were, it's a lot of hate to ignore :lol:

Maybe a little butthurt that the theory you wanted wasn't the way they had gone?

 

Maybe it should have been Melissa and Wren but couldn't get them to commit to season 6. What do you want them to do?

You can't recast the characters as that would have caused an uproar, so they had to go the best way they could with the actor they could get hold of for the part.. And that's really just assuming that's what's happened.

 

They shot themselves in the foot by giving away too many clues and of course there are plot holes.. Most shows usually do.

This is what I referred to earlier about someone spotting that it could be Cece months before the finale. I think the things they found and point out outweigh a few wtf's we've discovered from the answers we were given last night.

 

I'm satisfied with the 'A' resolution and at least they could explain what happened and why.

One thing I will give you is Sara being red coat / black widow. That was really poorly explained, why would this girl give up her life to torment the PLL's.. And we had no idea why she was working with Cece. That was terrible. I'd have preferred them to say it was Mona or really anyone but her..

I can't help it if I come across like I'm overreacting, I probably am tbh but what can I say, I'm really into this show and was so hyped up for this reveal :lol:

 

I'm not "butthurt" at all though, I didn't really have a particular theory I would have liked to have seen tbh, I am actually also satisfied with the A outcome, like I said before it's a really great backstory for Charles, and I'm happy with it, sorry if all my complaining about what was wrong came across like that wasn't the case :unsure: In the same respect though, I think that maybe if Wren had been Charles it would have maybe not caused so many plot holes, and you're right with the amount of things that have happened they were pretty much unavoidable, I just hoped the writers would outsmart us all and find a solution that would leave hardly anything unexplained. I saw a lot of really interesting and detailed fan theories, so I guess I was expecting it to be more complicated that it actually was.

 

I have read that theory before, as well as many many others, a lot of which were ones about Charles being transgender or having CeCe as A, I think I talked a bit about that months ago when I was reading some of them on here. I think maybe the fact I'd done that though added to my disappointment (of the episode/whole reveal not just A's identity) as I wasn't surprised and I really hoped I would be. When you stupidly have high expectations, it's hard not to feel a bit let down, most of that is because of Sara though :rolleyes:

I went through a similar thing with Gossip Girl and that reveal and I found in the end it was best to just accept the story they'd given to us because there's nothing we can do about it. It literally ate me up because there were SO many plot holes in Gossip Girl :lol:

It feels like neither Wren or Melissa were available for filming so they shafted in this fan theory.

 

The inconsistancies are ones they made themselves. Like... The CeCe Prom Queen thing could be amended if she attended the school.

Maybe CeCe made it up :o

This CeCe lie thing makes too much sense but I fear I might breakdown if they do it. It was okay for Monas lies in the series 2 finale but CeCe.

I honestly believe that Wren as -A and Melissa and Black Widow was planned all along.

Black Widow was hardly "very involved" she was literally just a character in another costume. We were lead to believe she was someone entirely separate from Charles and Red Coat when that wasn't the case at all, that was the biggest let down of the reveal.

Well, Julian Morris tweeted that he wasn't Charles but we would definitely see Wren before PLL ends.

So maybe he's the guy that's after Ali in 6B?

I'm expecting we will find out that somebody was controlling A- also, I would be okay with that if it was Wren but part of me hopes Alison is the final A- or Mona.

In the preview for 6B we saw Ali as a teacher and she was writing "Mrs Rollins" on the board, so she must be the one to get married. I googled the name Rollins PLL and a thing came up about a new guy coming into the show that's Mona's doctor, Dr Rollins. So that must be the chatacter that's after Alison :o
