I do wonder if JLS's physicals are weakening, as they are slipping on iTunes, I think it be interesting on Sunday as it could swing back to BoB, but at the moment the top 2 have got physicals as well, its going to be an interesting end to the week, it could end up with JLS peaking at #2 at the very last minute. Just as I predicted, probably missing out by 15 copies, or something silly.

 

Them missing out by *one* copy would be all the sweeter. :P

While I find your "nothings impossible" comment a bit patronising (it selling 1 mil isn't impossible after all but using some logic I somehow didn't arrive at that conclusion) its also not implausible or outwith the confines of previous albums (hers included). For example, X opened on 27k in tues mids and ended on over 82k, which I make as 3x the amount of 1st mids.

As for X's sales, that was released during the Xmas rush, so I'm not sure how comparable extrapolations will be against the mid-summer market.

 

Were aphrodite to do the same we're looking at 98k- not a stones throw from 100k is it? If we apply your +/- 5k she could easily cross the line. I'm not saying its definite, but it's certainly plausible no?

Nothing would please me more than to see it sell over 100k this week.

 

Also the 2.5-3.5x I mentioned is just an anecdotal observation of mine - haven't worked it out like you have for singles/stolen or misquoted you!

 

My figures are rather anecdotal too, I'm afraid. Obviously I see a lot of full-week figures, but IRO mid-week ones, I see no more than anyone here (i.e. almost none).

Very true about X i guess, things would've been picking up on an almost daily basis then. My bad on the comment :wacko:
