July 6, 201015 yr Author I'm pretty sure they are, is it difficult to register with them? But I meant would the numbers be enough if it picked up a bit in the coming days :) Sorry for going off topic. I wouldn't know to be honest, it takes a day or 2 to be registered, you end up losing sales for the week. If they are registered its going to chart at the lower end of the spectrum, campaigns tend to die off towards the end of the week.
July 6, 201015 yr I was hoping for Enrique to get to #1. :snif: It was obvious he'd never come within sniffing distance though...
July 6, 201015 yr I agree lets face it first day sales are generally higher as its all pre ordered sales Not *all* - mine wasn't. I only pre-order items if there's likely to be a problem with availability - and that was *hardly* going to be an issue with a Kylie album. :P
July 6, 201015 yr Kylie sales definitely gonna be front loaded...I predict 70k, 70-72k ish. Even taking front-loading into account, I expect something nearer 80k.
July 6, 201015 yr I pre-order most of my albums now. It's generally the same price and I usually get them before the release date - I got Aphrodite on Saturday morning  When I pre-ordered the Robyn album the other week it came to me 4 days before it was due out in the shops!
July 6, 201015 yr Hmmm, I think JLS' lead will decrease throughout the week- those sales are very front-loaded Good for Kylie at number 1 again- I think X missed out and did quite badly as I remember, this proves she is still relevant :) I hope both 3OH!3 and Eliza get top 10 by sunday- I like packed charts :)
July 6, 201015 yr I think X missed out and did quite badly as I remember, this proves she is still relevant :) X peaked at #4 and went Platinum in the UK, so it didn't do that badly. ^_^
July 6, 201015 yr Yeah, X did not do badly, that's completely false. It reached #4 in a very busy period of the year, sold 82k (!) in the first week and it's total is 463k.

July 6, 201015 yr What did Body Language sell? I thought that was less than X. Pretty much exactly 400k.
July 6, 201015 yr Pretty much exactly 400k. Then nobody can call X a letdown when it improved on the previous error even if slightly. And the albums market was far bigger back in 2003 than 2007. If anybody wants to start naming Kylie flops - let's attack her 90s catalogue :kink:
July 6, 201015 yr I don't think X did badly at all. I think it underperformed though in terms of chart position. Fair enough it was pretty difficult to rival Leona in that time period and Shayne did have the X Factor slot but I would have thought she was able enough to beat Westlife. I don't think '2 Hearts' was a strong lead single tbh. Yes it was her "comeback era" but 'Wow' was a far stronger and catchier song. Anyway, despite Kylie not being my cup of tea, I'm glad she's doing well since she is such a down-to-earth person - especially for a pop icon - and never sacrifices her sound to fit trends.
July 6, 201015 yr Poor indie Kylie :( Impossible Princess >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Body Language :drama: Aphrodite's far better than both combined though, and then some.

This was kind of what I tried to say in the first place, thank you for posting this :D

I adore 'Drunk' from that album <3 I'm with you on BL. Awful album. I just see it as a creative blip after a massive era though like with P!nk and 'Try This'.

To be completely fair, Wasteoflife did beat her last minute into 3rd place by 1,000 copies. X also outsold the trampy previous X-Factor winner by far in terms of the total anyway.

It's funny how Body Language and Try This were both released in the 2003/2004 era. Hmmm says a lot about that era regarding music. To be completely fair, Wasteoflife did beat her last minute into 3rd place by 1,000 copies. X also outsold the trampy previous X-Factor winner by far in terms of the total anyway. Ouch I hate it when that happens - only when it's the superior single/album losing out. <_< And you're lucky I realised you were talking about Shayne and NOT Leona. :P I think you might be incorrect though. I think Breathless sold close to 500k in total.

I'm not wrong, and it didn't. :P And nah I'd have been completely fine with Leona beating her to #2 as she's alright. Those other two are just :arrr: :arrr: though.
