Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup - We No Speak Americano (14) (CR-41-31-9-14-6) This has been yo-yoing I see  19. Eliza Doolittle - Pack Up (18) (CR-30-20-14-18-19) Can't say I'm a fan of this... 26. The Saturdays - Missing You (32) (CR-32-26) Mediocre lead single. Pleasant, but will probably be another FIO. They are terrible at releasing amazing 1st singles. FIO doomed the 2nd album, Wordshaker should've been the 2nd single after Ego. 28. Tim Berg - Bromance (NEW) (CR-28) Surprising new entry ;) 43. Flo Rida - Club Can’t Handle Me (46) (CR-43-22-33-46-43) This has grown on me unfortunately. Generic as hell. But I like it now. 50. Glennis Grace - Als Je Mij Weer Aankijkt (NEW) (CR-50) Best new addition to your chart for sure. Loving this. Wouldn't be surprised if it topped my chart ;) Great chart! :)

Thanks GaGafan :D Agreed, Aphrodite is stunning  5. Ah, okay. I'll just rip it then. :P 24. Yeah, me too, but I don't like when artists release track 1, 2 and 3 from their album as the singles. I do agree with all of them songs, less so with 'Better Than Today' though, as I haven't heard it as much as the others. :P 'Aphrodite' has a really mediocre intro and then the chorus is just great! 47. I don't really like 'We R One' either. It was "alright" for about a week, but it's just too cheesy, especially the video. 24. I know what you mean, it's a bit predictable  47. It got to #3 in my chart :o maybe that was overrating it a tad but I do think it's a decent, if dated, pop song... 3. The Naked & Famous - Young Blood (7) (CR-7-3) 4. I see what you mean about Saturdays...I like it and definitely prefer it to the tragic Forever Is Over but it's far from the heights of Up and Ego -_- Bromance is great, entered after I listened to it in the dance forum, Glennis was obviously thanks to you sending it to me.

What do you mean? 47. Wow. It is dated! Very dated! I think that's why I no longer like them, because all of their 2 songs I have heard are incredibly dated. It's like something 5ive would produce in 1999.

I mean in the respect that an artist releasing track 1, 2 and 3 from their album/loading all of the potential singles on at the start is predictable and doesn't usually lead to great albums seeing as you have a fantastic start and filler at the end. I prefer singles to be spread out over the album so that I in turn listen more to the other tracks to get to the singles, if you know what I mean. 47. 5ive? Not the first act that came to my mind :heehee: Steps more like, or the Scandi teen pop bands like A-Teens :o

I prefer it when the lead single is further down the tracklist and you have loads of great songs around it. :) 47. Yeah, Steps. :P I don't know where 5ive came from. I was sorting out my old CDs earlier and found theirs among them. I was a big fan at the age of 5.

There's a reason why it went to #1 in NZ. Is Alors On Danse getting a UK release? If so, it'll be interesting to see how it does! Great chart as always! Thanks West :D Agreed, I love Young Blood! It's supposed to be getting a release next month here but I don't envisage it doing anything unless Radio 1 playlist it, which is probably unlikely... Heeyy Richhh! 1. Thanks as always Aaron :D
July 12, 201015 yr Hey, my comments this week :D 3. The Naked & Famous - Young Blood (7) (CR-7-3) Really good song, is this definitely your choice for BJSC? 7. Lena Meyer-Landrut - Satellite (4) (CR-5-5-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2-3-4-7) Longest Runner Good to see this is surviving against the tidal wave of Kylie entries  18. Stromae - Alors On Danse (23) (CR-41-39-25-18-12-9-8-9-13-17-OUT-19-12-23-18) I'm really not feeling this track at all, think I might be the only one in Europe who doesn't like it  38. Olly Murs - Please Don't Let Me Go (NEW) (CR-38) I've yet to hear this, but I'm not expecting much. Hopefully it'll be a pleasant surprise when I do eventually listen to it 47. Same Difference - Shine On Forever (Photo Frame) (NEW) (CR-47) It's alright, I'll probably end up buying the single, but it's not a patch on We R One 50. Glennis Grace - Als Je Mij Weer Aankijkt (NEW) (CR-50) Not heard this yet, better than her ESC song?

I was a bit miffed to see that it was in Unknown Pleasures too but I'm not taking part in that, and I guess neither are 90% of BJSC participants so it will still be a discovery to most. I didn't discover it from there so it's not like I'm stealing it  Plus if I confirm before the results are announced, I can't be accused of glory seeking if it goes on to do well in UP... 7. Yes indeed  Although I don't listen to it anywhere near as much as I used to, I'm just letting it fall gracefully... 18. Oh dear :( It's one of my favourite songs of the year, which I really should have peaked higher than #8 38. It's better than I expected, nothing groundbreaking though 47. Agreed there, that was a top 3 in my chart and #1 for you iirc? 50. Different, it's an out and out pop song not a ballad for starters. It's pretty catchy after a few listens :D

But yeah, most of the people taking part in UP aren't participating in BJSC. 07 - That's good :D It doesn't deserve to do a 1-1-2-27-49-OUT :heehee: 47 - Yeah it was, plus Breaking Free and All The Roads Lead To Heaven were hits in my chart too. I doubt anything on the new album will be quite as good sadly. I hope I am wrong though! 50 - Shall have to look into it then :D

No  I don't have enough time so decided not to take part in it. Obviously two great minds think alike though! I've only counted maximum 6 or 7 crossover people in both contests and there are 50 in BJSC...most other entries have far more people that have heard of them before the contest, especially the Scandi-pop songs seeing as a large group of us follow the genre :heehee: 7. No indeed, not after all that time at #1! Although iirc, a song has never dropped from #2 to outside my top ten, certainly no lower than #12/13 if it ever did happen :o 47. Ah yes, I charted something else too, maybe Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now  It seems like their new album will be more 'mature' which I don't think will be good for them :(

My biggest #1 drop was to #10, which was Confidence For Quiet by The Corrs, god knows why that was #1 the week before :drama: Atomic Kitten's Cradle was #2 in the week that was #1 and dropped to #3 in the same week, showing that it really should have been #1 over the Corrs track :( 47. Not heard that, where did you see them live?

I'm not sure I've heard that Corrs track  47 - London pride, they only did the Glee medley and Photoframe though :( 7. Cradle was ancient, I first heard it in 2000 because it was on the 'Right Now' album, and then 5 years later they bizarrely released it as their final single  They had four #1's in my chart; Eternal Flame, It's OK, Ladies Night and Believer! It's on the album Borrowed Heaven, it's not that amazing and should really have charted at about #9/#10 but there must have been some reason that I bumped it up so much to become the biggest default #1 of all time :drama: The only thing I can think of is that early 2005 was godawful for music, particularly chart music what with all of the Elvis re-issues and low selling indie fanbase hits, even worse than it is now. I had so many #1's that didn't deserve it just because there was nothing else good out :( 47. Oh right cool. That's a shame, I wonder why they didn't do We R One?

Narcotic Thrust - When The Dawn Breaks - 2wks 226. Breed 77 - Shadows/Breaking The Silence - 1wk 227. Within Temptation - Memories - 1wk 228. Lunatica - Fable Of Dreams/Avalon - 1wk 229. Angel City - Sunrise - 1wk 230. Charlotte Hatherley - bast*rdo - 1wk 231. KT Tunstall - Black Horse & The Cherry Tree - 1wk 232. My Chemical Romance - I'm Not Okay (I Promise) - 1wk 233. Jem - They - 2wks Dana Rayne and Narcotic Thrust are the dodgy ones in my opinion  47 - I think they were running late and had to stick to a schedule, the first few acts did 3 songs each, then the rest of the first acts on did 2 songs each, which was a shame as I wanted to see more of Same Difference and Waterloo, whereas a really rubbish girl group called Scarletz or something got to perform for what felt like ages :(

Oh :( It's always the way, rubbish acts seem to drag on forever and great ones never seem to go on for long enough.
