Errr...what? Shocker :o

Le Kid out and Jenny in second chance :snif:

Fuck.

I mean i love it, especially the white male doing vocals... but Le Kid :(

Jenny Silver would've never done it in a million years without ABBA coverage. A Place To Stay is an example. GAH -_-

That said, I was OBSESSED with Singing That Melody and Touch and Go a couple of years ago, I even saw the former on the music channels here a fair few times. And this along with the Danny song could actually do well in the UK given half a chance. Sweden are looking for that contemporary chart smash this year just like I suggested everyone would :kink:

I find it odd that he can't speak Swedish despite, according to Wiki, living in Sweden for the past 20 years...has he really not picked it up?

Upset about Le Kid, but Swingfly going direkt to Globen instead of Jenny kind of makes up for it, her song seems to be over-rated.

PERNILLA BETTER GET THROUGH ANDRA CHANSEN.

Oh well sadningen ar avslutad now and Swingfly didn't even finish performing. :(

They've obviously got it set to start bang on 8pm and finish bang on 9.30pm (Swedish time), and it's overrun a little bit...

very good live feed quality this year though, mine didn't buffer once!

Hell, i got more swedish by the internet in the last 2 years than he in 20 years?!

Same! And my internet connection actually behaved the whole way through, which shocked me more - normally when I'm streaming X Factor or iPlayer I'll have to restart the laptop a few times halfway through as it's the only way to get the internet working again if it flips off and forgets the IP address. The power of Melodifestivalen!

He's openly addicted to marijuana, which may or may not play a part in this...

The rare time technical f*** up happens in Melodifestivalen! :o I don't remember a single thing last year!

Oh my god. :o

PUN INTENDED.

Dilba - Try again

Swingfly - Me and my drum

Jenny Silver - Something in your eyes

Jonas Matsson - On my own

Le Kid - Oh my God

Rasmus Viberg - Social butterfly

Pernilla Andersson - Desperados

Danny - In the club

So f***ing close :(

I wonder how long it will be before Le Kid give up now...

Apart from a loyal internet contingent, nobody seems to care about them - they've been around for two years, not had a sniff of a hit single in Sweden, let alone anywhere else and don't look set to break out anywhere anytime soon, certainly not after this latest setback. At least the likes of Alcazar and Alphabeat can still score hits at home, even if the rest of the world's forgotten about them now, but Le Kid haven't even got that :(

My Verdict:

Le Kid - Oh My God :: I really didn't think this was very good, and I really liked Mercy Mercy and Telephone. This was just too corny/camp. 6/10

Danny - In The Club :: Fantastic! The sort of song that I wouldn't associate with Eurovision. Really commercial, great beats - and whilst repetitive, still really good. 9/10

Swingfly - Me & My Drum :: Oh, I really like this! Very catchy hook, love the beepy instrumental behind it - another song that isn't very "Eurovision" and I'm definitely a fan! 9/10

Dilba - Try Again :: Definitely should be signed to Clubland/AATW soon. I actually really liked this, as I am a fan of this type of dance. A little bit empty, but count me as a fan! 8.5/10

Jenny Silver - Something In Your Eyes :: The ABBA comparisons are so obvious. She's the only one that Tirren (cheers btw) didn't have an MP3 for so I'm basing on live. The verses are boring, and whilst the chorus is very camp - it's also very enjoyable and not annoying as with Le Kid. Based on the live version by the way, did she sing any of that? 8/10

Jonas Matsson - On My Own :: It is good, and very Jason Mraz - but I have to admit, I'd totally forgotten about it, and had wandered off into thinking about other things after about 90 seconds. 6.5/10

Rasmus Viberg - Social Butterfly :: For all those saying it's no 'Fairytale' - that's a good thing in my opinion, it's definitely better than Fairytale. His voice is slightly annoying, and I dislike the way he says 'mazda' instead of 'master', but it's not his language, so we'll let him off. 7.5/10

Pernilla Andersson - Desperados :: I must admit, I was expecting more songs in Swedish. This is nice enough, but ultimately a bit dull - it plods along nicely, in a sort of Amy MacDonald with 50% of the fun taken out way. 7/10

GLOBEN :: DANNY / SWINGFLY

ANDRA CHANSEN :: DILBA, JENNY

IN ORDER:

01 Danny

02 Swingfly

03 Dilba

04 Jenny

05 Rasmus

06 Pernilla

07 Jonas

08 Le Kid

Not far off actually! Dilba finished last (her live performance was terrible, she barely sang it) and Pernilla went AC instead. You'll also find studio of Jenny in your inbox...

I'm surprised/delighted Swingfly made it - but I think it sounds fantastic :o

I might actually have to start watching this - I've ridiculed this in past years because I purely expected just about every song to be Abba sort of stuff. But it's actually very good, songs like Danny/Swingfly/Jonas wouldn't sound out of place on UK music channels, with nothing to do with Eurovision.
