Posted July 12, 200619 yr BBC 4 had a travel show last night called Tales from Copenhagen all about Danish life. On it there was a feature where Kirsty Wark went to the Danish Design museum to look at some chairs. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f4/Egg-Chair.jpg She looked at this very famous Danish Chair by Arne Jacobsen and said it was a work of Art. However surely it a piece of design rather than art? what is art and can a chair be considered as art?
