Eninem targeting chart-topping Recovery

Albums

1 Eminem [3,000 ahead]

2 Kylie

How could Eminem's 4th week sales outweigh our beloved Kylie's 2nd?

Yes, sales of:-
  • The Fame
  • The Fame Monster
are combined for chart position and overall sales purposes.

but still it's amazing...and iirc the original fame sold something like 800k before monster got released.

Thought so, just wanted it to be confirmed. With 6 massive singles from the fame monster I'd be shocked if it wasn't still top ten. It'd be good to know how much the fame monster has sold on its own compared to the fame, I know it's doubtful we will know but I think it would be good info. With another single from the fame monster I'd expect it to be top 10 for a while to come yet. Not shocked at all on that front. Will be interesting if her 2nd album can match her first. Why did she actually release the fame with the fame monster? She should have made a new album instead.

EDIT: Chill, no one said it wasn't good, it's very good. Just very expected as well as far as I'm concerned with 6 massive singles and 2 different formats in which her huge hardcore fan base will have bought BOTH versions. So yeah good but expected nothing less.

You can buy them as a 2 disc album. At least I did anyway.

Hate that Ronson song. Can't believe it's #2 and so close to #1  Hopefully it'll be overtaken by Yolanda, Em&RiRi and Katy by the end of the week.

Obviously... LOL

EDIT: @ Painbow (Grami) - The fame monster is the 2 disc version, the fame is the original, I thought it was pretty clear what he wrote.

ARTIST UPDATES

Singles

JLS 4+3 :heehee: LMFAO :heehee:

LOL.

This totally made my day. What a non-event this single is

Hopefully by the end of the year this joke/band is over.

LMFAO Love the JLS abuse. Yeah that's pretty bad considering how BIG they are... LOL 1-7 lols eeeek. And that's in the 2nd week. Awww I don't actually mind them.

Ronson is due a number one at last. Stop Me and Valerie were number ones that never were. I'm shocked he's only just over 200 behind Airplanes. :o

 at JLS. Shows that it didn't deserve number one in the first place. I think CG will climb again when the sun returns from it's holiday.

I'm liking Enrique's chart run for ILI so far. :D 4-6-8 is consistant. With no radio 1 support that is pretty miraculous.

Where is Enrique's Euphoria? Thanks. :)

Obviously... LOL

There's no need to be so rude. I was just implying and agreeing they're not available separately like in America for instance.

Where is Enrique's Euphoria? Thanks. :)

6+5. I'll add it to the artist update for the rest of the week for ya. :)

What was rude about that? I wasn't being rude I simply said to you I thought it was made clear... which I thought it was, if you think that's rude then that's your issue.

Yeah I really hope Mark gets the number 1!

Thanks Spiidey! Enrique is a loved artist on here (by me ) so it would be fitting. :D

#11 is actually pretty good. I thought he would plummet to low top 20 or something.

I think the top 2 albums are going to be pretty close, at the moment Kylie looks like a sure bet for #2, hopefully she increase. Don't forget Tuesday's sales are usually a bit frontloaded they tend to trail off by the end of the week, take Kylie for example I expected 100k for her last week, but it fell short to 79k. Its only the first update of the week, and its pretty normal now Tues mids will always be the dominant first day of the week for sales, when Friday approaches it goes all south

That only really applies to albums that are released in that week though.

For albums that have already been out for a week, the Tuesday mids -> Sunday chart multiplier for sales is almost always higher than it is for newly released albums. Which makes sense when you think about it, because when an album is released, a high proportion of its sales are going to be crammed into the first day of release (the Monday), whereas once its been out for a week, the clamour to get it has gone and it falls back into a normal (more evenly distributed) sales pattern.

Where's Ke$ha

Single 16+16

Album not top 40.

Have added the single to the artist update for tomorrow, if the album appears in the top 40, it'll be posted as such.
