2nd single from Taylor Momsen's band to be released in August in the UK. Not quite as good as 'Make Me Wanna Die' but I still quite like it, sounds like a grower.

Oh I agree there, can't stand the woman. I quite like her band's music though, well the two singles anyway.

And this is going in the pop forum along with the thread for the last single.

Little actresses playing at being Courtney Love don't belong in Indie/Alt

This is great, and loved the last single. I'll definitely have to check out the album.

I don't care about her Gossip Girl connection as I don't watch it, or even really know who this girl is.

That's irrelevant, her background has nothing to do with her genre?!

If you didn't know who she was and this was an unknown track, it would be fine to leave it in Indie/Alt or even Rock.

It is definitely not pop and she's more Indie/Alt than Ellie Goulding, who seems to have her own threads in the Indie/Alt forum?

Look at my last comment in the latest Ellie Goulding thread.

At best it's pop/rock and absolutely nothing to do with indie. And no it would not be fine leaving it in indie.

Funnily enough, I don't go around looking for posts you've made.

Put it in rock then? Anybody with 2 ears can hear this is not pop.

This sounds quite good actually :o an improvement on the first single for me.

And if there is one thing I don't get about BuzzJack is what act goes where in the different music forums, especially in the RNB forum, there is some acts in there that are definitely pop but are considered urban only because of their skin colour.

TBH I wouldn't go looking for any of your posts either if that's the general level of your posting.

This song doesn't belong in rock either.

And it's got nothing to do with her background at all. I'd be perfectly happy if it didn't belong anywhere and just got completely dumped.

I personally hear second rate Avril with heavier guitars.

You seem to think that the term "moderator" indicates that your evaluation of the song is the correct one.

The instrumentation in their music is much heavier than in most pop/rock stuff.

If anything I would say it was rock with pop influences. Just because it's not heavy metal, doesn't mean it belongs in pop.

There are many variants of rock music, just like there are pop, indie, urban...

To write her off as pop and the "Courtney Love wannabe" just because she's been in Gossip Girl is plain ignorant.

The fact you've compared her to Courtney surely indicates the band is at least rock influenced?

By your argument it most definitely is not indie hence the decision to shift it.

If someone wants to move it to rock then be my guest.

I moved it to pop because the other Pretty Reckless thread was here and seemed to get a response in this forum.

You might as well just leave it here now, I doubt Chris will approve of it being in rock either.

Is there a particular reason as to why it's "your way or the high way"? The majority of people who are posting can see it isn't a pop track...

Well I wish "Goin' Down" was the next single, but never mind.

She's not a pop artist in respect that she isn't going to be played on Pop radio. I don't think I ever saw "Make Me Wanna Die" on anything but Scuzz, but then again her music is probably considered a noisier Avril Lavigne. And she's certainly pop.

why the f*** are you attacking me, did i say it 'my way or the highway'? No. Did I say it's a pop track? No.

Oh I didn't mean to quote you sorry. I'm still having trouble remembering the quote button is below the post not above, sorry again!

Only just heard 'Makes Me Wanna Die' today for the first time, really like them!
