These days you could start a Facebook campaign and easily get it top 100 :lol: Which site was it? Is it still there?

 

I released an R&B track about 5 years ago made in my best mates bedroom... went top 100 on mp3.com :o

 

 

Maybe we should get a couple of members of Buzzjack and create a supergroup, and bang it on Facebook :magic: :heehee: we could also try and register with OCC and try getting it to #1 :lol:

That's very good! I once had to write a "dance" song for my Music GCSE a few years ago. It was absolutely appalling. :lol:

 

I had to do mine on Sibelius though, so I had to write out the score myself, which didn't make things easier. What software did you use?

 

 

I used Reason 4. No sample packs or any add-ins. Just the sounds available in Reason 4.

Wow. That's amazing. Really impressed with how well it goes.

 

It feels like a proper tune now that it's part of a mash-up.

Wow. Some very good tracks! We should so get loads of Buzzjack members together, and make an album (although I think Buzzjack would be short on female vocalists :lol:).

I'm working on my own "remix" which sounds more like trance than anything. It's still a work in progress. ^_^

 

Here's the end results of my own "remix" adding my own melody into the mix whilst still sneakily sampling Tony's melody too. :dance:

Your track influenced me. :D The actual beat I used in the remix was the same beat from the 'Cafe Del Mar (Extended Mix)' I used in that mash up. That didn't long to do as it was basically layering two songs over each other.

 

As for this mix, all the music was put together using Garage Bang - music software I have on my iMac. I just experimented with different sounds and filters until I had about 10 different pieces of music (all based on the same melody). There was another piece which I ended up not using as it didn't seem to fit anywhere. It sounded good by itself though. :P

 

Then I used Acoustica to layer all the files and put together my remix. Et voila!!! :D

I love the way that Eminem's bits go with the chorus of Children and Dr Dre does the break downs or darker bits.

This isn't a bad effort at all Tony, I love the minimal feel of your original version and the way that, when it all kicks in together, it feels more than the sum of it's parts.

I love layers and counterpoints and lots of things going on in a tune.
