They are trying to be like JLS. EPIC FAILLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!

This song is very generic and sounds like a Red One reject, but it still a thousand times better than anything that JLS has released so far.

The epic fail being "The club is alive (but the music is $h!t)'" in my opinion.

:o Actually loving their new sound - Maybe they might have a single that spends more than 4 weeks in the Top 100 this era! :kink:

'Lies' spent about 5 weeks top 30 iirc. ;)

~~

I am now a McLoon. I shall buy the album and single on the day they are released. :) I hope it's amazing. :D

luckily I own all their albums, thanks to my sister :kink: they're actually all good, especially 'room on the 3rd floor'. favourite singles from them I think are 'transylvania', 'obviously' and 'the heart never lies'.

the new song sounds ok so far though. will wait for the full version.

No it spent 3 weeks in the Top 30 ;)

Lies: 3-10-22-34-57-94.

They needed this as i don't think they're previous singles would fit in todays charts. Really like it on first listen!

Whoever said it's better than JLS is correct because The Club Is Alive is one of the worst songs I've heard all year.

I think it's an interesting new direction for them and I'd love to know how it will be performed cos they are a band with instruments yet this screams dance routine haha. They're looking all toned and tanned like a typical boy band so it's gonna be cool I reckon.

Whilst I loved their first two albums, I think they had a lot of low points later in their career and a few of their #1s were just forgetable rubbish. They do have some decent album tracks though and I loved Falling In Love.

To be honest, I hate most of the today's tracks that get into top 10 in recent time, I call it anticrisis music epoch, hopefully it'll soon comes to an end. At first I was unpleasantly shocked when heard Party Girl. But now it's really growing on me, the more I listen to it the more I like it. I'm glad that now they can prove they can do the music everybody seems to be doing and be the best at it. I'm hoping for much better chart statistic this time.

But rock-soul as I am, I still hope there are songs in their new album which Mcfly guys prooved to be good at making - catchy positive pop-rock tunes that make you feel, life isn't as $h!t as it seems to be at times

Probably their best single since 'Obviously' imo.

There is some normal Mcfly tracks on the album(only they are more mature and a bit more rocky)

i did post some demos on here somewhere

This is absolutely fukking horrific!!! I can't even find a word for it!

EDIT: Here's one. Extremist-unoriginal-ity. Okay it's a made up one, but sums up the track pretty well imo.

I really am in two minds about this.

It's obviously a lot better than the likes of 5 Colours In Her Hair and all. And from the promo pics, Harry is looking very fine.

But at the same time, come on, this stinks of sell-out. How best to avoid those embarrasing 1-20 falls? Go urban and steal JLS' fanbase. Sorted!

Tom said they wanted this album to be different and that they want to keep up with how music has changed.

Their 2nd single is supose to be a ballad called 'shine on the light' and according to afew music critics the song is brilliant

the whole Album has a few sounds not just the Dance/Urban sound you hear on Party Girl

It seems as if they are doing everything right this time but from what I hear the album will not be out in shops and will not be make a normal release so whether it's free or out on downloads only i don't know but Tom from the band said 'The album release will be groundbraking'

There is some normal Mcfly tracks on the album(only they are more mature and a bit more rocky)

Thanks for the posting those, I heard them and loved them (apart from Here Comes The Storm, though it's a bit rockier than Party Girl;)) Though, I'm not sure if Dragon Ball and Sunny Side Of The Street are going to be on the album. Those leakes might have disastrous consequents, McFly might have changed their tracklist for the #th time. I hope those songs are on the tracklist though :) As well as 'This song' which Ifind the best demo of the leaked ones (still feel horrible for listening to them).

And the previews of 'Shine A Light' and 'I'll Be Your Man' made me even more excited about the new album! :)

To be completely honest, I have no issues with the Party Girl anymore, I love it! If even Harry said it was choking when he first heard their demo, but now he obviously adores it, then it's okay for us, too

Can't wait to hear it live on In:Demand Live on 31st of July! :cheer:

My McFly rate;

04 '5 Colours In Her Hair'

09 'Obviously'

03 'That Girl'

06 'Room On The Third Floor'

07 'All About You'

04 'You've Got A Friend'

03 'I'll Be OK'

02 'I Wanna Hold You'

04 'Ultraviolet'

03 'The Ballad Of Paul K' wub.gif

05 'I've Got You'

00 'Please, Please'

00 'Don't Stop Me Now'

10 'Star Girl'

04 'Sorry's Not Good Enough'

04 'Friday Night'

01 'Baby's Coming Back'

05 'Transylvania'

05 'The Heart Never Lies'

09 'One For the Radio'
