Oh fabulous news... I hope they don't change the Acoustic sound on his voice. I've grown to love it. It's very haunting.

'History' is one of the best tracks on Groove Aramada's otherwise-very-good-too current album and for its single release comes with a very strong remix package. The Still Going and Tom Budden mixes are great but for Song Of The Day purposes it's the Grum reimagining which takes 'History' to the newest and most wonderful place.

 

Do you think Will Young will be in the video doing his 'ooh I'm pregant / swimming the channel / presenting Blue Peter / on a horse' routine? Probably not.

Thanks TT. I'm pleased they picked up on that one - miles better than the Tom Budden remix. Just need to hear the StillGoin' remix and then I can decide if it's worth buying.

Sorry TT - I was confused :w00t: - doesn't take much now I'm in my dotage. :lol: It wasn't Radio 1 (shame on them :arrr: but of course not unexpected :rolleyes: ), but BBC 6 on the link BYm+m gave.

History is being played in NME..although the plays are right down..on BBC 6 Music..Oxford FM and something called dappl at the moment..it's had 18 plays..

Yes, as much as anything is a single these days! I think the guys over in the States have done various remixes and we've got a great idea of how to work a new version of that into the live set.

 

Are you making a video for it?

 

There is going to be a video, in that way these days where incredibly talented people basically do really clever things for no money.

 

In the hope that Kanye West picks them for his next video.

I guess that's pretty much the only prize in the locker these days. It's funny to think that the first Groove Armada video budgets were the size that films get made for now! Those days are definitely long gone. But the videos they're making now for 50p are so much better than the ones that cost £500,000. Money doesn't buy you creativity, that's for sure.
