July 17, 201015 yr Author Well last week it was the Spice Girls, the week before it was Queen, I should imagine they'll as The Beatles to do it next! Norma
July 18, 201015 yr I'm wary of the whole reunion thing, but a big, special even like the Olympics would be brilliant. The Spice Girls are too out of date now. They could appear as part of a medley or something, but it would be embarassing if they were supposed to represent the modern music scene. The same for Queen, even though they are brilliant. I'd argue that they'd be better trying to get someone newer to the music scene, but we'd have to wait and see who is popular then, and they'd need to be popular outside the UK too. Right now it's all PR people trying to make headlines.

I mean I like Take That Four ... but they are an intrinsically 'British' thing. I like the stuff they're doing now ... but its a personal thing ... I know they're never going to be 'with it' ... with or without Robbie. With Robbie they're trying to go back in time to their youth ... I think the Spice Girls would be more relevant than five near middle-aged men prancing about to Could It Be Magic. Certainly less embarrassing. Besides ... I've got a bet on with Tote that Paul McCartney will be the headliner. Norma Edited July 18, 201015 yr by Norma_Snockers
