Fine. I've deleted my post. I wasn't trolling in this instance at all but was merely exploring a possibility and inviting discussion on it. I backed up my suggestion with reasoning which is what the mods here want. ;)

I have a copy of the post so if Rob or Scott want me to PM it to them so they can see it then I'm happy to do so. Nothing wrong with it, my viewpoint and suggestion, all backed up and reasoned out. :)

Send it Chris, I could do with a laugh.....

Right decision

No way would anything have stood up in court so it is best that he is investigated and disciplined by the police themselves

Are you just saying this to wind people up..? I see you're back to your usual "oh, let's defend the authorities at all costs even when they're clearly in the wrong" bullsh"t.... It's been explained to you the myriad of ways they could have been done.. England no longer has the Double Jeopardy law, so this pig could have been charged with assault within six months and then retried later for manslaughter when more evidence came through. It's obvious to me, and everyone else on this thread with half a brain, that the Coppers Protection Service, sorry, CPS, deliberately delayed things for so long so even this option couldn't be explored.. And how convenient for them that the Home Office pathologist just happened to be an incompetent fukker with a string of disciplinery and misconduct charges against him, yeah, right.....

The Police investigating the Police eh...? Yeah, cos that's worked out SOOOO well hasn't it...? So, maybe he'll lose his job, big deal, that's no kind of punishment for brutally assaulting a man who was putting up no resistance and contributing to his death, that pig wasn't a copper on that day, he was nothing more than a scummy chav in a uniform.... <_<

Even I could have got the guy acquited as his defence lawyer the case was so weak thanks to the dodgy pathologist, probably my 14 year old nephew could, there is not a hope in hell he would have been convicted regardless of whether there was a conspiracy by the CPS or not (that is pure speculation).

I am not saying anything to wind anyone up just dealing in legal realities.

The only hope if anything happening to him is him being investigated by the police themselves and him getting sacked

Speculation my arse... Explain to me what possible reasons there could have been to delay prosecuting him for common assault, there was PLENTY of evidence to convict him on that charge which would have nothing to do with an autopsy, anyone looking at camera footage could see that, it doesn't take a fukkin' autopsy to convict a person of assault does it???? I mean, we're all being told that CCTVs are supposed to aid the prosecution in pursuing a criminal matter, well, that IS what CCTV is for isn't it...??? As for the other, well, sorry mate, that's surely for a JURY to decide in a country that's supposed to be built upon the Rule Of Law, not the fukkin' CPS, the Police or you or I.....

The facts are, if it had been chavs who assaulted Mr Tomlinson, there sure has hell would not have been any kind of delay in bringing a case.... <_< And, if you ask me, there's something rather suspect about the way the whole Raoul Moat affair panned out too....

The facts are these - this is the establishment covering up for the establishment, and it's pretty damn obvious to anyone now that no ordinary person will receive any kind of justice in cases when the police or the establishment have wronged them... So, to me, that's a green light to riots on the street and revolution to bring the system to its knees, and put in place a system which does represent the interests of the common person on the street.... Problem is, we're far too accepting of this ridiculous status quo; could you imagine the Ian Tomlinson thing happening in Greece or France and the absolute sh"t-storm that likely would've occurred there...?
