Posted July 23, 201014 yr Hi All This Is My 1st Post, Hopefully It's In The Right Place. Does anyone know where I can find a list of the Best Selling Singles of a year, as I can't find any definitive one, there used to be one a few years ago on uproroar.fortunecity/galaxy, but has gone, close I can find is on pure80spop.co.uk. there was a wealth of it but most of it has disappeared, I lost all the info in a hdd crash. The Best Selling Singles was a chart run down on the Best / Top singles of that year, it was a 1 off end of year Radio 1 show. I have ripped from Cassette Tapes & Hi-Q videotapes (not video) the Best Selling Singles of Each Year from 1979 - 1996, each year is in 4 parts, but looking for any before < - ---1977, 1978 & 1997+ onwards all in mp3 format. If Anyone Has Any info of the correct chart run downs or any links to them please let me know I would ask if there is any torrents, but not sure if that is the right thing to do DrWho3000

The 72-73 were also with Tom Browne as a top 60. Radio One didn't do year end charts in 1967, 68, 69, or 1971. In those years Alan Freeman replayed all the top threes of the year in question. He counted down the top 50 of 1970 though. Most of them are owned by various people, I can put you in touch with if you email me on davericktaylor@yahoo.co.uk Do bare in mind though, all Radio One year end countdowns cut off around the 10th December and are therefore not accurate for the whole year. 60s charts were not based on sales for any shows, but chart averages as the Music Papers charts were.
