July 27, 201014 yr so this is the kind of dance music R1 thinks is worthy of getting playlisted... they should be ashamed, awful.
July 28, 201014 yr Author The lyrics are not up to much, granted, but the beats never fail to make me tap my feet whenever I hear this tune on the radio :yahoo: I started a new topic for this reason and the fact that I don't remember ever reading about a UK Funky record in this forum

You've got to admit his hooks are similar to Scatman from the 90's. It's just easily digestable pop music but with a cutting edge from the underground no?

It's just easily digestable pop music but with a cutting edge from the underground no? It's hard to find an original and groundbreaking dance tune nowadays. Doesn't Yolanda vs D cup remind you of Doop (released 16 years ago !) for example ?? Every bit as awful anyway IMO .....
July 28, 201014 yr so this is the kind of dance music R1 thinks is worthy of getting playlisted... they should be ashamed, awful. just coz it ain't to your taste m8 , get with it, dubstep and dnb is the future :D
July 28, 201014 yr I've been hearing that for the last 10 years, its just never gonna go mainstream ;) And there is good dubstep and drum/bass, and bad. This fits in the latter category
July 28, 201014 yr This is not dubstep or dnb at all. It's UK funky. I don't hate it but don't love it. There are million times better UK Funky tracks (Kyla - Do You Mind)
July 29, 201014 yr I know its not dnb. Funky? That's not a genre. There's funky house, but there's no "funky" genre on it's own.
July 29, 201014 yr I don't know if I could call it house but songs like that are always called UK Funky
