July 30, 201014 yr LOL everybody needs to get off their high horses with all of this 'BUZZJACK SO EVIL 4 PUTTING X ABOVE X' crap. Get over it already and just enjoy the commentary. 016 Gwen Stefani + 320 Pts + A bit surprised that she finished so high given that the last album seemed to divide a lot of people and lose her a few fans but I'm glad nonetheless. Definitely the greatest frontwoman of all time (for me). She's one of those rare personalities who can flick between being a sophisticated celebrity and a crazy, quirky popstar with absolute ease and of course the voice is one of a kind. LAMB remains the best thing she ever did. Best album: Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Best song: Wonderful Life 015 Mariah Carey + 353 Pts + HURRAH. Anybody complaining that she has/had a good voice and nothing more has obviously never been exposed to the joys of The Emancipation Of Mimi which is by far and away the best R&B album ever made. I love that so many people dismiss her for being an absurd diva when that's all part of her shtick and she's fully aware of the perceptions around here. Incredible woman, even if she has lost her way musically just a little (still love Obsessed mind). Best album: The Emancipation Of Mimi Best song: We Belong Together 014 Nelly Furtado + 363 Pts + I'm surprised somebody said she's overrated - to me Nelly has always seemed like quite an underrated popstar. She sells big but when she's not got an album out nobody really mentions her as one of the big global stars alongside Beyoncé, P!nk and whoever else. I need to devote more time to checking out her earlier music but Loose is mostly a good album (not as filler-free as people make out though) and Mi Plan is fantastic. Best album: Mi Plan Best song: Afraid 013 Shakira + 406 Pts + HURRAH! I'm not sure where I expected Shaki to land but she's in good company here. One of the most fantastic all-round talents out there - I think a lot of people don't even realise that besides writing all of her songs she actually produces a lot of them herself as well. And of course she's a brilliant performer as evidenced at Glastonbury this year. Best album: Laundry Service Best song: Don't Bother 012 Katy Perry + 425 Pts + Buzzjack being a bit premature maybe in putting Katy so high but if the new album turns out to be as fantastic as the singles then it'll be pretty much justified. She's one HELL of a popstar - totally on top of her sex appeal, becoming a better performer all the time and always dominating her songs with that opinion-splitting voice. Before the year is out she may well be the biggest popstar on the planet. Best song: Thinking Of You 011 Madonna + 495 Pts + Poor brave M-Dolla. Don't sympathise with her too much, Buzzjack - she's the world's richest, most famous woman and doesn't even let her kids watch TV! In all seriousness she's obviously a legend but people can't be too shocked by this placing when Madonna herself has done so much to undo all the good work she's done over the course of her career with the past couple of album projects. She's beyond caring so why should we? Best album: Confessions On A Dancefloor Best song: Hollywood I really dont understand you last statement "Madonna herself has done so much to undo all the good work she's done over the course of her career with the past couple of album projects. She's beyond caring so why should we?". I hardly think she is past caring. Personaly ive loved the last 2 albums. Maybe not on first listen but once you give then a gd listen they are actualy very good. I like when she tries diff things instead of stickting with the her typical dance/electro/gay friendly music like "confessions".
July 30, 201014 yr Madonna, i am in two minds about. Some of her material is simply amazing while some is just plain rubbish. Frozen and Ray of Light are her two best songs though.
July 30, 201014 yr Author I've never understood loondoom tbh. Some artists excite me overly much but I'd never force it down someone else's throat and I am reasonable enough to understand that not everybody had to like them and not everything they release is the most amazing ever and I'm also prone to being negative and critical of my favourites if I know they can do better. You can appreciate music without going overboard. Gaga is not the only one with crazy fans on here if you ask me. I read about the forums a lot and most of the top 10 have their fair share of crazys as well as a few more in the countdown [then there's Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Saturdays] etc. Could somebody explain to me why we get so piffy and derranged about somebody 95% of the people doing it will never even meet?

I mean she doesn't bother trying to push the boat out with her music anymore, her videos are cheapo, quickly-shot crap when once they were epics with imagination behind them, and she just chases the latest trends whilst wearing as few clothes as she possibly can. She clearly isn't passionate about making music anymore and Hard Candy was one of the most shockingly awful albums ever made by a mainstream popstar still near the peak of their popularity. She's stopped caring - she's just a celeb now who spends her time hanging off the arm of her latest toyboy.

She is def still passionate about it. I hated Hard Candy at first but now love it. Def underrated. American Life is also an under-rated album. I also dont agree with the whole her being a celeb and hanging with her toyboy all of a sudden. She doesnt need to do that to get attention. Never has. She is a very busy women and always doing something to do with her career.
July 30, 201014 yr Hollywood as Madonna's best song of her entire career? That's a brave statement. Personally, I'd put it at roughly her 61st. Frozen does it for me. Agreed.

Well I only really like Madonna for two phases of her career - from the start to Like A Prayer and then from Ray Of Light onwards, so that's a good chunk of her output (the miserable 90s R&B-lite crap) out of the window. I've always loved Hollywood though - I just love how it builds and builds, and the slightly bizarro lyrics, and her wonderful vocal delivery. Highly underrated song. Aside from that my favourites would be Jump and The Power Of Goodbye if that's any consolation?!
July 30, 201014 yr Fave Madonna song - Lucky Star or Power of Goodbye Katy Perry is ridiculously high, total joke.
July 30, 201014 yr Power of Goodbye  how did she manage to put most of her good songs on one album?

I can't stand anything she released from Vogue - Frozen except You'll See. But every artist goes through their rough periods and yeah her output over the past couple of albums has been rather crap as I originally said, but she's turned it around before, so let's just hope she's not too past giving a toss to do it again. I'd personally love to see her do a proper hard rock album. It'll probably never happen for a majority of reasons such as age, her lack of vocal ability for such a genre but it's something that'd be hilarious and I'd love to see her try and pull it off. July 30, 201014 yr I think everyone should stop f***ing complaining. This has been the most annoying thread to ever f***ING read because all of you pessimistic bitches, BITCHING about something. It's a RATE on a ONLINE FORUM. It's just for fun. Now get over yourselves. damn f***ing stupid BITCHES. YEAH.
July 30, 201014 yr What the hell do you expect? What Buzzjack members loon most over are female vocalists and when you pit them against each other in a rate the lunacy get exaggerated.

July 30, 201014 yr What the hell do you expect? What Buzzjack members loon most over are female vocalists and when you pit them against each other in a rate the lunacy get exaggerated. All the more reason for a male one, it'd be slightly much more civil
July 30, 201014 yr What the hell do you expect? What Buzzjack members loon most over are female vocalists and when you pit them against each other in a rate the lunacy get exaggerated. No. This isn't about looning this is about people bitching about every damn spot. It's a rate get over it! And ALSO I'm not saying it's not okay for someone to be like "meh. this person should be higher, or she should have been lower" ETC. BUT YOU complain about the same people EVERY DAMN PAGE. We f***ing get it. You think Kylie Minogue and Britney are non entity's and GaGa is better then them. That's equivalent to me coming in her 8 times and saying "I love Britney Spears. Hope she wins" "Really hoping Britney wins this!" "Britney is better then your fave artist. Your favorite artist sucks ass hole" "I sure do hope Britney Spears beats Kylie! Blackout is better then any other album in the WORLD. She's $h!tting on them ho's" ANNOYING. Maybe this rate doesn't affect me personally because I realize it's just a rate that Graham was nice enough to put together. A bunch of queens and a dash of straight people got together and rated their favorite artists. It's not the serious, so stop acting like billboard or the BBC just released a poll or some $h!t. It would be nice though to be able to read the results without hearing members repeating their bitching every damn page. K.
July 30, 201014 yr Let's do a male one too :) And if we can't make a Top 30 or something, maybe we could to Top 20 or 30 tops or whatever. So if you only want to put 8 men in your list or something, then that's ok.
July 30, 201014 yr Author I'm all for a male one but I don't want to run it  It's too much hard work and by the time I got to posting them I really couldn't be arsed :( And thanks Tyler. It's a bit annoying to hear people complainay.
