01 - That's a shame :( . I really love it now!

02 - Where did you find it? I searched on Youtube but couldn't find it there :( . Yeah it's South Africa's entry. I really like it, it's got the sort of beat that I love mixed with really cool synths :D

09 - Yeah, they're a bit like Kids of 88. I think I like it more than I should because I was expecting a mediocre acoustic number sang by a bland female when I saw the name, and it turned out to be electro/rock :lol:

22 - :lol: I know. It will probably become a number one I regret, but I did love it the week I entered it at the top.

28 - It was a song I meant to download ages ago, but forgot. It came on in a club in London and I remembered I hadn't got hold of it. Pretty decent tune!

32 - Indeed, this era's been a bit meh, and I am really confused by the fact this got a physical release when Don't Tell Me and Spark didn't :wacko:

51 - Yes, very nice song!

57 - It's a little colour by numbers, but a pretty fun tune.

09 - Yeah, they're a bit like Kids of 88. I think I like it more than I should because I was expecting a mediocre acoustic number sang by a bland female when I saw the name, and it turned out to be electro/rock :lol:

22 - :lol: I know. It will probably become a number one I regret, but I did love it the week I entered it at the top.

28 - It was a song I meant to download ages ago, but forgot. It came on in a club in London and I remembered I hadn't got hold of it. Pretty decent tune!

22 - The start and end of 2007 were brilliant, so much great electro-pop appeared during February-May like Dragonette, Shiny Toy Guns, Matinee Club, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scarlet Blonde, plus the Eurovision entries :wub: . I think Robyn did break the multichart record...

Yeah, Je Ne Sais Quoi is easily my favourite song of 2010. Such an awesome tune. Her album is also number one in my YTD chart.

 

It is a surprise that Kylie didn't go to the top spot on the Buzzchart. Guess it wasn't trashy enough :kink:

 

Verona reminds me of Velvet and I initially thought she was Swedish too as there was a Verona in Melodifestivalen a few years back, might be the same one I'm not sure :o . I found her via Luke_cz's chart. She's from the Czech Republic :D

 

Aww, I love Sophie Ellis-Bextor, she deserves so much more success as she has a raw talent unlike so many of the autotuned acts at the top end of the UK chart these days -_- I sound like such an old man saying that :(

 

When Love Takes Over is far superior! That stayed at number one for more than a week for me, which really is something on my chart :lol:

 

Enrique has surprised everyone with this track I think. I thought he was finished with in 2004, but he just keeps on coming back with the odd hit every couple of years or so :lol:

 

I got a promo sampler of I Blame Coco's album the other week and that has helped me really get into her as I wasn't that fussed about her before. Really looking forward to the album now.

I agree that there are similarities between the Katie Melua tracks. I don't mind that though as it's a good sound.

 

The ESC entries have dropped out of my chart really quickly this year, all 39 were in my chart in the week of the contest and most had gone within a month, whereas last year a vast number remained on the chart right up into the Christmas period. The ones that remain from this year are my absolute faves. Drip Drop has grown on me a lot since the contest whilst the others have been favourites of mine for months now :lol:

 

Helele is OK, but this will be it's peak I'm sure.

 

I'm not very keen on We No Speak Americano, it had one week at 57, dropping out this week.

Yeah, Je Ne Sais Quoi is easily my favourite song of 2010. Such an awesome tune. Her album is also number one in my YTD chart.

 

It is a surprise that Kylie didn't go to the top spot on the Buzzchart. Guess it wasn't trashy enough :kink:

 

Verona reminds me of Velvet and I initially thought she was Swedish too as there was a Verona in Melodifestivalen a few years back, might be the same one I'm not sure :o . I found her via Luke_cz's chart. She's from the Czech Republic :D

 

Aww, I love Sophie Ellis-Bextor, she deserves so much more success as she has a raw talent unlike so many of the autotuned acts at the top end of the UK chart these days -_- I sound like such an old man saying that :(

 

When Love Takes Over is far superior! That stayed at number one for more than a week for me, which really is something on my chart :lol:

 

Enrique has surprised everyone with this track I think. I thought he was finished with in 2004, but he just keeps on coming back with the odd hit every couple of years or so :lol:

 

I got a promo sampler of I Blame Coco's album the other week and that has helped me really get into her as I wasn't that fussed about her before. Really looking forward to the album now.

I agree that there are similarities between the Katie Melua tracks. I don't mind that though as it's a good sound.

 

The ESC entries have dropped out of my chart really quickly this year, all 39 were in my chart in the week of the contest and most had gone within a month, whereas last year a vast number remained on the chart right up into the Christmas period. The ones that remain from this year are my absolute faves. Drip Drop has grown on me a lot since the contest whilst the others have been favourites of mine for months now :lol:

 

Helele is OK, but this will be it's peak I'm sure.

 

I'm not very keen on We No Speak Americano, it had one week at 57, dropping out this week.

Good ol' Luke. These are the type of charts I find most interest where European artists get recognition. Charts full of generic US female pop just dosen't appeal to me. Only a handful of these type of songs make an impact with me.

How many weeks did 'WLTO' spend at no. 1 for you? The track spent 4 weeks at no. 1 for me - easily the best Kelly Rowland single and David Guetta production.

22 - The start and end of 2007 were brilliant, so much great electro-pop appeared during February-May like Dragonette, Shiny Toy Guns, Matinee Club, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scarlet Blonde, plus the Eurovision entries :wub: . I think Robyn did break the multichart record...

32 - Yeah. We might get an Amy Macdonald "Collection" before she departs her label though :lol: .

I think I prefer Alejandro to Lady Gaga's other singles, but yeah it doesn't deserve 4 weeks at number one.

 

I also much prefer the charts with a varied taste in them, there's more chance that I'll discover something good that I hadn't heard before.

Caesar is one of the good tracks on the sampler. In Spirit Garden and Party Bag were also pretty good iirc.

 

OK, vocally The Club Is Alive isn't great, but the music is pretty amazing :P
