Third single from their upcoming new album (due out in Norway in October), following the top ten Comic Relief single Take Me Home and their #4 hit, Don't Wanna Lose You Again, which came 2nd in Norway's Eurovision National Final, Melodi Grand Prix. This has already stormed into the top ten on iTunes there, the UK/Norwegian boyband are still big news there. Anyhow...this is their third great single in a row imo, and it's a shame they're likely to never make a comeback here, not that it would ever do anything anyway :(

Is it just me or is the intro just a bit inspired by the song that beat them in MGP, My Heart Is Yours? :lol: It gets a lot better than that afterwards though, once again mixes the classic A1 pop sound with a more contemporary feel. They appear to have brought back their old band logo too for the sleeve!

It's really good! All their comeback stuff has been great.
I like it. Better than the first comeback single but not as good as the Eurovision song. Honestly, with groups like Scouting For Girls and The Hoosiers in the charts, doing radio friendly guitar pop, why couldn't this be a hit here?

I prefer that to their MGP entry personally, and I think this could be a success here if given the chance. It's like the happy middle ground between Scouting For Girls and The Wanted, added to the fact they are already well known here - I can definitely see them making a strong comeback in the UK if given the chance.

They haven't topped Same Old Brand New You though :wub:

They would have that stigma of being a reunited 2nd tier boyband here though a la Blue, Damage, East 17 etc...never really works out unless they were massive before like Take That and Boyzone I guess...

But it's not like they're just living off past classics like those first three reunited bands are, they're actually making music more mature and better than before, aside from the odd great moment they had when they were first around - Caught In The Middle, Same Old Brand New You...

I found this song instantly catchy though, much like their previous two singles, and it would be an easy #1 for The Wanted, I just don't think they'd get anywhere near the exposure they needed if they tried to make a comeback here...:(

You should search for 'a1 - in love and i hate it at allsang på grensen' on youtube. It's worth checking out :) Since I'm new on here, I'm not allowed to post links, so you have to find it yourself. (they also played 'Everytime' at this tv show, which was their first successful hit over here in norway, and the song's now back at the charts, 10years after it was released.. haha.)

'In Love And I Hate It' is currently #8 at the iTunes chart, which means they've overtaken 'Airplanes' by b.o.b. So yeah, it's quite big. And it's only been out for sale since aug 4th!

*it's a shame they're likely to never make a comeback here* - Don't be so sure about that. As the boys have said themselfs, they have plans to release this single everywhere soon, as it's the first official single from the new album. They've also said they'll be coming back to the UK next year. They just want to finish the album and their tour over here in Norway first :)

I saw that video earlier, very good, I love that they can still command a (young) crowd, rather than old contemporaries Westlife with their middle aged and old women crowd :heehee:

Everytime was vastly underrated, actually my second favourite of their early singles after Caught In The Middle. Should have gone down as a boyband classic here but instead has been sadly forgotten about :( Found the performance by the way;

One of 1999's many many great pop ballads :wub: I love how the entire crowd remembers it and is singing along. Play it to a crowd in the UK and you'd be lucky if one or two people even recalled it, even if it was a #3 hit here :lol:

Well I'll believe that when I see it but I'd love to see them make a successful comeback here, commercial radio would surely love them? :wub:
