She's been in the studio recording the next album for the majority of the year, and besides, she is allowed what's called a break, especially after a huge world tour which lasted months!

She has been recording, perfume lines, clothing lines, and done two magazine covers. We were told along with "The Singles Collection" that she was taking a break, which is why we got '3', just to tide us over with some new music. I have no problem waiting until next year, quite frankly... the longer we wait the better the album will be. Not to mention she will be more prepared and bring back the fire that she had pre-breakdown. The reason we got Circus was because Britney and her team knew that they needed to get an album out to keep fans interested, same with a tour. She deserves to have a year off to do nothing but be with her family and boyfriend.

You don't compare Christina Aguilera releasing $h!t albums once every 5 years to, for example, Girls Aloud who (used to) release masterpieces every year.

But in Britney's case I think it has been proven true. In The Zone and Blackout are by far her best albums and they are the only albums that have not been rushed. ITZ was recorded over the span of more then a year, and Blackout more then 2. And from seeing how she has steadily built her confidence (and continues to) since the breakdown I think it will be better performance wise. And a good percentage of her fans are fans because of her amazing performances. This is why it needs to be released when she's ready and when she is in control, and not when Jive demands it because it needs to be done to upkeep her "image" in the public eye. More passion = better era.

September 1, 201014 yr I think she has done a lot this year; it's not always about the career, you know. These girls, Britney and Christina, they have achieved much more than other artists their age and once you have done it all it's not that important to be constantly in a hurry to release new material. They say a smart person would work both on his/her career and family, a not so smart one would choose love and a stupid one would concentrate on work only. I totally agree. If we are getting a new single/album we will know within the next two weeks. I can't see her releasing a new single any later then October. if it's past that then it will most likely be coming out in the Summer.
