01 - It's a dance-pop track, not sure if it'll be your sort of thing, but do check it out if you get the chance :D

21 - Yeah, it's a really nice interpretation of a traditional Welsh song. She's released an album of Welsh songs recently and it's really good!

24 - I quite like this one and can see me perhaps liking this as much as The Flood, but for now I agree with you.

51 - It's quite a dark electro number, far cry from Moi Lolita :lol:

57 - I agree unfortunately, it starts quite well, but after the first few songs, it's a bit tiresome other than a couple of standout tracks. It's about 4 or 5 songs too long.

01 - Yeah Closest Thing To Heaven peaked at number 5 iirc. I much prefer this one though, far more unique sounding than their debut was. Shame AATW messed up this release too :(

02 - They didn't chart :lol: . This is their first hit on my chart :D

07 - It is really good, but I never really got into it until it came out on single. Not sure why, guess it just got mixed up with the other tracks as it's quite near the end of the album and I tend to lose interest in the final tracks of an album. Obsessions and Hermit The Frog are my faves.

11 - Wow, a second single that didn't flop :o . They'll probably release a third single now, wonder what they'll choose if they do.

26 - He's a french acoustic singer, kind of like a softer Arcade Fire. He's joined by an unnamed woman on this track who has a really good voice! I haven't heard anything else of his yet, but this is a great song :wub:

39 - Oh really? I only heard about her from BJSC also, but with Fortune Teller. Looking forward to hearing an album by her.

52 - It's a rather MOR Chicane release isn't it, The backing track is the pretty much the same as Poppiholla :lol:

01 - I rather like the chorus, and generally love the whole song :wub:

08 - I know, it's so random, probably the best Eurovision promo video ever :lol:

10 - I heard it a few months back and wasn't keen but all of a sudden when it was entered into BJSC it just clicked with me.

42 - It's a really good song, but I only got into it about a week after I voted hence why I didn't give it points. Sorry about that :(

01 - Yeah Closest Thing To Heaven peaked at number 5 iirc. I much prefer this one though, far more unique sounding than their debut was. Shame AATW messed up this release too :(

02 - They didn't chart :lol: . This is their first hit on my chart :D

07 - It is really good, but I never really got into it until it came out on single. Not sure why, guess it just got mixed up with the other tracks as it's quite near the end of the album and I tend to lose interest in the final tracks of an album. Obsessions and Hermit The Frog are my faves.

11 - Wow, a second single that didn't flop :o . They'll probably release a third single now, wonder what they'll choose if they do.

26 - He's a french acoustic singer, kind of like a softer Arcade Fire. He's joined by an unnamed woman on this track who has a really good voice! I haven't heard anything else of his yet, but this is a great song :wub:

39 - Oh really? I only heard about her from BJSC also, but with Fortune Teller. Looking forward to hearing an album by her.

52 - It's a rather MOR Chicane release isn't it, The backing track is the pretty much the same as Poppiholla :lol:

 

1. They mess up most things so no shock :lol: I did like the remix that was on Clubland 17 though, seemed to give it that extra bit of oomph that I felt it needed, without straying away from the original barely at all

2. Good :lol: Mine too! I'm not buying the album though, based on past form. I'll wait until a second single...

7. I'm the same but I do tend to listen to most albums on shuffle these days, just because I'm fully aware that otherwise I'll never get into the last few tracks...

11. I know, this is a very rare occurence in Sweden! They must have been signing at a shopping mall - that boosts you from nowhere to the top ten in the Swedish charts :lol: Still, it's hanging around in the top ten too, but it's nowhere on iTunes so it must be doing well physically. I'm hoping they'll go with Vild next and then the three best songs will all have been singles.

52. Yeah agreed, and Adam Young's voice does have the ability to grate, even though I did love Fireflies and some of his album tracks.

Even though the winter edition always has 3 discs as opposed to 2, I without fail always prefer the summer editions, I guess better dance music comes out in the summer, or rather I'm more in the mood to listen to it. I tend to prefer pop in winter I guess, as that's when a lot of the big pop comebacks occur.

2. Let me know what it's like, I'm too scared even to listen to it I've been scarred so heavily by them in the past :lol:

11. True, although we only ever had crap acts come to Brighton. Cheeky Girls and the like! We still get some decent acts in our HMV though, The Saturdays were there signing around Ego coming out! And the indie shops get some good people signing/doing a PA - Emiliana Torrini for one!

I'd love that, but I can't see it :lol: :( There's no definite direction though is there, it seems like manufactured pop's coming back big though to be honest - it was always bound to one day I guess! 12 year olds of today will be getting nostalgic about JLS, The Wanted and The Saturdays ten years from now :heehee:

I decided to listen to this on YouTube as I've noticed this doing well in Greece for the last few months - think it even went to no. 1 in Greece at one point iirc. Listening to the song, it's not that bad but I find the chorus slightly on the flat side.

Although Satellite is my favourite Eurovision song ever actually now :o Everything else I could have easily lived without hearing though, even though my YTD top 40 is packed with ESC/MF songs still, just because there's quite literally been nothing else 'amazing' about to knock them out :lol:
