Not sure?

There was little interest for My Circuitboard City, but who knows? It just depends what this lead single is like. They were always one of my favourites to come out the era when indie-pop was successful.

Not so excited about this. Thought their last album was a bit.. Wierd. Lyrics about nothing but christmas..

'Jump into the Fog' is avaliable as a free download off their new website

Love the path they've gone down for this era.

Yeh strange comments people aren’t as unkind these days on the threads lol. Is Thomsen an earlier Bjork 😂?
I was stanning Tokyo & Jump Into The Fog when I first joined this board but this thread never got bumped when the album was released so I didn't see it. Legendary era from them, their best overall - first/second (second was basically a touched-up rerelease for their major label debut, the '3rd album' bit in this thread is a little misleading) was a bit too raw, later ones had moments of greatness and showed signs of maturing but this was their classic, their Riot!, production still sounds fantastic.
TBF I didn't even bother listening to anything from this at the time as they'd been so awful previously, came along at the tail end of the indie wave and their debut album was one of the biggest disappointments of the era after a string of promising singles. I happily went about 8 years without hearing a new Wombats song.

I don't think people were than mean, just frustrated cos it took so long for the 2nd album

Especially cos back then in the mid 00s, bands worked very quick and released album after album at a very quick pace

ie Arctics, Pigeon Detectives...

Probably not the best example with The Pigeon Detextives having a similar 3 year gap from 2008-11 :P

But I know what you mean, the quick pace of indie releases seems to be coming back now

I meant time between 1st and 2nd album

Pigeon Detectives: debut album in 2006, 2nd in 2007

but the mid 00s was crazy in turnover, also how quick bands appeared, were huge with a bunch of hit singles and a huge album, then with the next album they never troubled the singles charts again and the album barely registered... most indie bands from the mid 00s only lasted 1 era, 2 tops... was so frustrating!
