Posted August 12, 201014 yr Eminem Fends off Taylor Swift on U.S. Singles Chart August 11, 2010 NEW YORK (Billboard) - Rapper Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for a fourth week on Wednesday, holding off a strong No. 3 debut by Taylor Swift. "Mine," the first single from the country-pop starlet's upcoming album, was rush-released to digital retailers late last Wednesday after a low-quality version leaked online. Even with just four full days of sales, it managed to sell 297,000 downloads, the fourth-best of the year and eighth-best ever. The song topped Billboard's Digital Songs tally, sending Eminem down to No. 2 with 281,000. Back on the Hot 100, "Mine" fell just shy of the debut and peak of Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale," which landed in the runner-up spot in January. That song sold 325,000 downloads in its first week, the year's third-highest tally. Swift posted her highest sales week when "Love Story" shifted 360,000 downloads in the post-Christmas week of 2008. Swift's third studio album, "Speak Now," is due out on October 25. Elsewhere in the top 10, Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" rose one to a new high of No. 2. Katy Perry's two entries each fell two spots: "California Gurls" to No. 4 and "Teenage Dream" to No. 9. With radio airplay increasing, the latter track should rebound and remain a top 10 contender for some time. A third Perry track, "Not Like The Movies," opened at No. 53. The tunes come from her upcoming album, also called "Teenage Dream," set for U.S. and Canadian release on August 24. Enrique Iglesias held at No. 5 with "I Like It," and B.o.B. dropped two to No. 6 with "Airplanes." Mike Posner's "Cooler than Me" slipped one to No. 7. Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love" (No. 8), and Jason Derulo's "Ridin' Solo" (No. 10) each rose one place. http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=11377183 Hot 100 01 01 07 Eminem Featuring Rihanna, Love The Way You Lie 02 03 10 Taio Cruz, Dynamite 03 01 Taylor Swift, Mine 04 02 13 Katy Perry Featuring Snoop Dogg, California Gurls 05 05 13 Enrique Iglesias Featuring Pitbull, I Like It 06 04 17 B.o.B Featuring Hayley Williams, Airplanes 07 06 15 Mike Posner, Cooler Than Me 08 09 04 Usher Featuring Pitbull, DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love 09 07 03 Katy Perry, Teenage Dream 10 11 19 Jason Derülo, Ridin' Solo 11 08 19 Travie McCoy Featuring Bruno Mars, Billionaire 12 12 14 Drake, Find Your Love 13 10 19 Usher Featuring will.i.am, OMG 14 13 14 Eminem, Not Afraid 15 22 09 B.o.B Featuring Rivers Cuomo, Magic 16 14 10 Nicki Minaj, Your Love 17 18 07 Maroon 5, Misery 18 96 02 Kenny Chesney, The Boys Of Fall 19 16 45 Train, Hey, Soul Sister 20 36 03 Bruno Mars, Just The Way You Are 21 19 24 Taio Cruz Featuring Ludacris, Break Your Heart 22 21 19 Lady Gaga, Alejandro 23 15 23 La Roux, Bulletproof 24 33 06 Flo Rida Featuring David Guetta, Club Can't Handle Me 25 17 16 Shontelle, Impossible 26 28 11 Paramore, The Only Exception 27 52 04 Ke$ha, Take It Off 28 25 21 Usher, There Goes My Baby 29 23 26 Ke$ha, Your Love Is My Drug 30 20 02 Sugarland, Stuck Like Glue 31 37 11 Cali Swag District, Teach Me How To Dougie 32 27 52 Lady Antebellum, Need You Now 33 31 27 Uncle Kracker, Smile 34 35 08 Soulja Boy Tell 'Em, Pretty Boy Swag 35 01 Linkin Park, The Catalyst 36 26 15 Carrie Underwood, Undo It 37 34 12 Zac Brown Band, Free 38 30 18 Alicia Keys, Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready) 39 29 15 Jerrod Niemann, Lover, Lover 40 42 11 John Mayer, Half Of My Heart 41 38 10 T.I. August 12, 201014 yr I'm surprised "NLTM" was so low. It had been mid-twenties since release! I guess it had no airplay though.
