No, I loved Find My Girl from Stenerud :(

Don't get me wrong, I loved his entries but he really needs to learn how to end a song properly!

Mow that's a Norwegian language songs overload in Semi 1 :(
  • 1 month later...

Running order for Semifinal 1 - Ørland, January 15th:

Carina Dahl - Guns & boys

Use Me - Daisy

Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk

Sie Gubba - Alt du vil ha

Gatas Parlament - Jobbe litt mindre og tjene litt mer

Sichelle - Tranger mer

Åste & Rikke - Not that easy (Ah-åh-ah-åh)

Running order for Semifinal 2 - Florø, January 22nd:

Pernille & Marius - I'll be yours

Babel Fish - Depend on me

Marika - Hungry for you (Gipsydance)

Isabella - Sand

Endre - Oh oh (Puppy love)

Hanne Sørvaag - You're like a melody

Mimi Blix - Allergic

Four Norwegian songs in a row in the first semi? And I've seen a rumour that the songs will be available from next Monday - that would probably be only the first semi though?

Hungry for you (Gipsydance)

I imagine that to be a mix of a couple of shakira songs

Less than a week to go :D We're getting 30 sec clips tomorrow [Monday], & then full songs on Wednesday, and it'll work that way for each semi (or so I've heard).

Wow, didn't realise it's starting so soon! :o

WHERE'S MY 'PROPER PROPER' ESC MOOD SWITCH?! Oh yeah found it

:magic:

noooooo... I usally have late shifts on mondays, but of course I had early tomorrow :( 30 sec clips will be revealed at 10:00 CET :o

1. Carina Dahl - Guns & Boys

Sounds like: Pet Shop Boys remixing a BJSC winner - AMAZING!

2: Use Me - Daisy

Sounds like: Busted without the personality and Charlie's eyebrows

3. Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk

Sounds like: An epic swaying string piece, the type which Norway excel at

4. Sie Gubba - Alt du vil ha

Sounds like: One of the crap entries from last year's Icelandic final

5. Gatas Parlament - Jobbe litt mindre og tjene litt mer

Sounds like: Complete $hite

6. Sichelle - Trenger mer

Sounds like: Leona does a dance song in Norwegian (she looks like her in that picture too, what with the horseface tendencies )

7. Åste & Rikke - Not That Easy (Ah-Åh Ah-Åh)

Sounds like: 1998 has returned and a Deetah b-side went astray, picked up by these two chancers

Two of Helene, Sichelle and Carina to the final thanks :o The other through to the final in Second Chance!

Hmm, I'm not as impressed with those songs as I was hoping I'd be. My favourite is Sichelle, but even that is fairly average. I might prefer that, and Guns & Boys when I hear the full versions.
Sichelle & Carina are my favourite from the clips, probably followed by Helene & Use Me. Song 4 & 5 are both AWFUL. So at least one of them will get through.

Vardlokk

Guns & boys was very good too, but I don't see the Norwegians voting for it.

Sichelle is always good

1. Carina Dahl - Guns & Boys

Awful. Vocals are terrible, production is old and the title is cringeworthy. 3/10

2. Use Me - Daisy

If there's an amazing breakdown in this song i will love it. So far not so much. 6/10

3. Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk

Definitely seeing the Alvedansen comparisons! Almost identical songs actually  Hence my verdict is ... AMAZING. 9/10

4. Sie Gubba - Alt du vil ha

Old. This word sums up EVERYTHING about this song. I also hear some sort of VIOLIN sounds, i hope it's not them otherwise i will love the full version :( 4/10

5. Gatas Parlament - Jobbe litt mindre og tjene litt mer

Surprisingly LISTENABLE. 'Singel' meets 'Hippare Hoppare' meets 'Underbart'. 5/10

6. Sichelle - Trenger mer

Female. Dance pop trashy song. ESC NF. IN NORWEGIAN?! 7.5/10

7. Åste & Rikke - Not That Easy (Ah-Åh Ah-Åh)

LMAO. Putting the AH-AH AH-AH in brackets as the second title of the song STOPPED WORKING IN 2007 IF NOT EARLIER. 4/10

1. Carina Dahl - Guns & Boys

LOVE this. Quite 80s somehow. I wonder if they will have to change the lyric though, are violent songs not allowed in the contest? 8/10

2. Use Me - Daisy

Norway's McFly (pre-semi amazing/pr0n makeover obvs). Reminds me of that Jimmy something from MF 2007 (I think). Not good though. 4/10

3. Helene Bøksle - Vardlokk

MAJOR potential. I wasn't a huge Alvedansen fan, but this is cut from the same cloth and definitely smells of quality. 7/10

4. Sie Gubba - Alt du vil ha

What is it with Scandinavia and country? This is another BAD example. I think you're right about the violins Pavel. Although it could be a fiddle. 3/10

5. Gatas Parlament - Jobbe litt mindre og tjene litt mer

Weirdly african sounding, or is it just me? They're definitely playing for the central European table here. I don't like his voice, but if the performance is good... 7/10

6. Sichelle - Trenger mer

Wow :o AMAZEBALLZ. Great production, love her voice, love that it's in Norwegian! This HAS to make it through? 9/10

7. Åste & Rikke - Not That Easy (Ah-Åh Ah-Åh)

Åh-Ah-Åh-Ah-Åh, Åh-Ah-Åh, I'll get him hot, show him what I got... this is NOT getting me hot though. Lukewarm at best. Mid 90s R&B rubbish, like an N-Tyce album track. 5/10

4. Sie Gubba - Alt du vil ha

What is it with Scandinavia and country? This is another BAD example. I think you're right about the violins Pavel. Although it could be a fiddle. 3/10

:kink: I like country :P

It's a fiddle :) 99% sure

VG.no

Helene Bøksle is favorite so far

not suprised :P

Final: Helene and Sichelle - both have potential to do outstanding in ESC judging by the 30 sec clips. Sichelle has a very Agnes vibe to her song, Helene is very traditional powerful ballads.

Siste Chansen: Carina and Use Me - One is Gaga/Britney esque which I do fear for it live and is very catchy. Use Me very McFly, catchy and could do well.

The rest - ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
