December 2, 201113 yr SOUNDTRACK NEWS FROM NIN.COM: For the last fourteen months Atticus and I have been hard at work on David Fincher’s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”. We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers. The result is a sprawling three-hour opus that I am happy to announce is available for pre-order right now for as low as $11.99. The full release will be available in one week - December 9th. You have two options right now: VIsit iTunes here where you can immediately download Karen O’s and our version of Led Zepplin’s “Immigrant Song” when you pre-order the soundtrack for $11.99. You will also be able to exclusively watch the legendary 8-minute trailer you may have heard about (no purchase necessary obviously). We scored this trailer separately from the film, BTW. Or… Visit our store here. We’re offering a variety of purchasing options including multiple format high-quality digital files, CDs and a really nice limited edition deluxe package containing vinyl and a flash drive. In addition, RIGHT NOW you can download a six-track, 35 minute sampler with no purchase necessary. Or… Live the dream and visit both! Atticus and I are very proud of the film and our work, we hope you enjoy. Best, TR horrifyingly, their store seems to be down so I can't get the sampler :( BUT, the soundtrack is 3 hours long :o Can't wait to hear the full version of the Immigrant Song either.

Go here: http://soundcloud.com/ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (although you've probably found it by now anyway! Loving 'Oraculum' (and 'Immigrant Song' ofc).
December 2, 201113 yr yeah I found it like straight after on a torrent site anyway. it's up again now: http://www.nullco.com/GDT/ I think it's really really good, thinking this might top The Social Network soundtrack. Just the fact theres 3 hours of it makes me mega happy. and the fact Trent said 'we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our career'. Immigrant Song is far too amazing. As for the actual sampler, so beautiful, some of it gave me chills in my spine, definatly some great music for winter on there. I feel Trents got another Oscar coming. Really can't wait to hear the soundtrack in the actual film. I'm just generally excited for this film alot infact. David Fincher
December 4, 201113 yr 8 minute trailer: http://www.traileraddict.com/trailer/the-g...o/8-min-trailer i'm getting well excited now.
December 4, 201113 yr Daaaaamn it looks so good! Haven't been this excited for a film in years. Sort of wish that I didn't know the story of it now, so that I didn't know what happens etc. haha. Also, AS IF Alan Dale is in it?! Random.
December 8, 201113 yr Author Damn, it's been slapped with an 18 rating. At least that means that certain parts should be staying very true to the book.
December 9, 201113 yr Damn, it's been slapped with an 18 rating. At least that means that certain parts should be staying very true to the book. Don't damn that, I know it's frustrating when you're under 18 but it means it's likely to be a much better film. Fincher has been very particular about not bowing to any studio pressure to make it less than a R rating (or 18 in the UK). the soundtrack is out today, I have the FLAC, not listened yet, I'm pretty tired right now so think I will save it for tomorrow to appreciate it more. if I can find a spare 3 hours that is.
December 14, 201113 yr Immigrant Song is outstanding. <3 Just downloaded the soundtrack as well. Quite a lengthy work indeed!
December 16, 201113 yr Saw this tonight, it's not particularly different to the Swedish adaptation, although Rooney Mara does a softer and more likeable take on Lisbeth (that's both a good and a bad thing, and that doesn't mean she doesn't do some of the rather horrifying things Rapace's Lisbeth did). I'd say if you like the Swedish film, you'll like this, although the mystery doesn't play any differently. Anyway I'll say no more in case I ruin it for people.
December 30, 201113 yr Shame with the bad launch in the US, doubt I'll be seeing it myself, after both reading the books and watching the original movies, must admit I'm a bit curious though, and suppose the story could support a 3rd viewing/reading.
December 30, 201113 yr Wasn't that keen on this. Loved the soundtrack and the opening credits though.
December 30, 201113 yr This was stunning, was very hard to follow at times and was a bit cringey watching it with my dad but I really enjoyed it.
December 31, 201113 yr I thought this was a good film... Right up until the slightly pointless and rather rambling epilogue... Salander NEVER developed "romantic" feelings as such for Blomkvist, That's a tad too Hollywood-ish for my liking, she just f/ucked him because she wanted to.... Why does mainstream Hollywood have to turn a strong female character into a schoolgirl with a crush..? That's really my major issue with the film, apart from that, it's good work by Fincher...
January 6, 201213 yr Randomly went to see this today. It was good. Definitely didn't expect this version to last 2.5 hours, with the original being 1 hour shorter! As always, the crowd in the cinema was f***ing retarded (OH LOOK HE'S GOT A SCRATCH AND NOW BLEEDING ALL OVER THE PLACE. WHINY LITTLE DANIEL. YOU CAN'T HAVE SO MUCH BLOOD WITH THAT CUT, I'M A f***ING SURGEON WITH 6778983895947 DEGREES // 'I don't have 50 grand' - 'You do, on two separate accounts you have 65 grand' - OH LOOK LISBETH SAID THAT SHE HACKED HIS ACCOUNT, THAT'S SO FUNNY, LET'S LAUGH LIKE PIGS UNTIL OUR COCA-COLA COMES OUT OF OUR NOSES. BECAUSE WE DON'T EAT OUTSIDE THE CINEMA.).
January 6, 201213 yr Author What version of the original have you watched? It's only a few minutes shorter. I think I'm going to wait for the DVD unless I can find it online rather than trying to get in despite being two years too young, but I'm very pleased to hear all the good reviews.
