I don't mind them but when its the final episode, it just spoils the ending of the series. I rather be surprised. For example I didn't see that scene coming..

If there is a S2 then I thought the last episode was brilliant .....if no S2 then it was damn irritating.

Interestingly, more than half of #bedlam viewers watched on catch up. Truly, the days of overnight viewing figures are becoming irrelevant

Abbie posted the scan from the mag on BD but they came out quite small....she said there wasn't anything we didn't know already but this comment stood out.

Another unexpected development was how well the characters of Jed and Ryan gelled on screen. "We've realised how powerful the chemistry is between them as we've seen the final episodes," says Neil. "When we talk about plans for series two, we would love them to be more of a duo than they have been up to now

Yes! and i'm still hopeful. He was seen at Sky the other week and i wondered why he could be there is not for Bedlam. :D

BBC America has announced debut dates for two original series.

Sci-fi drama Outcasts, centered on a new world set in a new post-Earth era, will premiere its eight-episode season on Saturday, June 18 at 9 p.m. The series stars Ugly Betty vet Eric Mabius, Liam Cunningham and Hermione Norris, and was created by Ben Richards. The show was shot in South Africa.

Bedlam, which stars Will Young (Skins), Charlotte Salt (The Tudors) and Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey), will debut Saturday, Oct. 8 at 9 p.m. The series is set in Bedlam Heights, an apartment building converted from a pre-Victorian lunatic asylum, and its inhabitants experience the darker side of the building's history when spirits come back to claim what they think is theirs and seek revenge.

BBC America will co-produce the new season of Being Human. The new season of Doctor Who returns Saturday.

BBC America Sets Premiere Dates For BEDLAM And OUTCASTS

 

On the back of the buzz building for this weekend's premiere of the new Doctor Who season on Saturday, April 23, BBC AMERICA today announced it is co-producing the new season of Being Human and confirmed airdates for two previously announced co-productions, Outcasts and Bedlam. All titles will air in the channel's Supernatural Saturday line up.

 

· BBC AMERICA is co-producing the new season of the UK original Being Human. The hit sci-fi show is back for an all-new Season 4 (8 x 60). It opens on the aftermath of the Season 3 finale in which Mitchell fell victim to the wolf-shaped bullet. Written and created by Toby Whithouse (Doctor Who, Torchwood), Being Human is a co-production for BBC AMERICA, BBC Drama Productions and BBC THREE. It is produced by Touchpaper Wales, part of Zodiak Media Group, who are also the distributors. Executive Producers are Toby Whithouse, Rob Pursey for Touchpaper Television and Eleanor Moran for BBC Cymru Wales. Being Human will air Spring 2012.

 

· The frontier sci-fi drama Outcasts (8 x 60), a co-production of Kudos Film & Television (Law & Order UK, Life on Mars), BBC AMERICA and BBC, stars Eric Mabius (Ugly Betty, The L Word), Liam Cunningham (Clash Of The Titans) and Hermione Norris (MI-5, Wire In The Blood). Created and written by Ben Richards and shot in South Africa, the series takes viewers into a new world as it explores survival, sex, politics and the drive for power in a new post-Earth era. The Executive Producers are Jane Featherstone, Simon Crawford-Collins and Faith Penhale for Kudos and Matthew Read for the BBC. Outcasts premieres Saturday, June 18, 9:00pm ET/PT.

The new sci-fi drama "Outcasts" stars Eric Mabius ("Ugly Betty"), Liam Cunningham ("Clash Of The Titans") and Hermione Norris ("MI-5"). It was created and written by Ben Richards and filmed in South Africa. "Outcasts" takes place in a desolate future "post-Earth era," where survivors struggle for power and dominance. It premieres Saturday, June 18 at 9:00pm ET/PT.

 

BBC has already canceled "Outcasts" in the U.K., so this season will stand alone.

while the haunted apartment thriller Bedlam, starring Will Young, will bow Saturday, October 8. All three will air in the Supernatural Saturday block, home of Doctor Who.

 

Speaking of Will Young, the most hardcore Anglophiles will recognize him for his British pop star career. Before there was a Kelly Clarkson or a Carrie Underwood, he was the world's first Idol way back in 2002. And he's made some quite enjoyable music over the years. Check out his 2008 hit, "Changes," which is creamy soul reminiscent of vintage (and therefore good) Simply Red.

Funny to think we will be seeing reviews for this all over again..here's the first., They review Luther just before this hence the mention.

 

'Bedlam' review: gripping, scary series

 

It seems a bit funny to transition into talking about a "Poltergeist"-like ghost series as "on the lighter side," but then again, next to "Luther," "Silence of the Lambs" might qualify as a romp.

 

Ah, but don't worry, there are plenty of old- fashioned gotchas in BBC America's new series "Bedlam," launching Saturday, about an apartment conversion plan that didn't account for supernatural squatters.

 

Bedlam Heights has been in the same family for 300 years. For much of that time, it housed the asylum known as Bedlam. Now, why anyone would actually think that keeping that name would be a good selling point is beside the point, apparently, but it's up to Kate Bettany (Charlotte Salt) and her father, Warren (Hugo Speer), to turn the place into a thriving, somewhat upscale residence.

 

Kate's adopted cousin, Jed (Theo James), ends up staying around to help fix things up, but also because he gets messages on his cell phone and computer from many of the building's former residents - all dead, of course, and hardly resting in piece as they warn him about people who need saving or are hiding some terrible secret. Not only that, but Jed, who's spent some time in mental hospitals himself, can see the ghosts and how they died.

 

Each episode focuses on a different resident of the building. There's a young woman who buried her premature fetus, another who hit two children on the road while she was escaping an abusive boyfriend, and even Kate finds herself haunted both by the ghosts and her own actions.

 

In between all of this, the central quartet of characters, including Ryan (Will Young) and Molly (Ashley Madekwe) as well as Kate and Jed, do what hot people in their 20s do in TV shows these days: hook up.

 

The scary parts of the show really are scary and the actors are all appealing. And what's so nice for the BBC is that they probably saved a bundle on costumes for Jed because hunky Theo James (Kemal on "Downton Abbey") keeps wandering into the kitchen wearing a bath towel. This is the British version, I guess, of Bed, Bath and Beyond - not necessarily in that order.
