October 23, 201014 yr Thanks to Carol on Devoted for this  My daughter bought a copy of LOOK mag and in it is an interview with Kara Tointon. One of the questions is 'What else have you been upto?' I've just finished a new drama with Will Young called Bedlam, about the mental hospital. I'm really excited about it because they've spent a lot of money on it. Will's a great actor - he's really talented. I'd love to do a period drama, like Jane Austen's Emma but for me any role is great. Just to be working is enough to keep me happy.
October 23, 201014 yr Author Thanks Munchkin...love the Will mentions. ..i can't wait..i just think the whole thing is going to be amazing. I've just finished a new drama with Will Young called Bedlam, about the mental hospital. I'm really excited about it because they've spent a lot of money on it. Will's a great actor - he's really talented Surely the promo will start soon?
October 24, 201014 yr Wasn't there something about trailers filmed for Halloween? That's next week. Guess we'll all be tuned into Living next Sunday. :)
October 24, 201014 yr Author I wonder as Living is part of the Sky/BSB network and bedlam has had so much invested in it that the Halloween promo would be network wide rather that just restricted to Living? it would get more notice if Sky showed the promo on different channels..I'm thinking we might get a tweet or something letting us know when the promo is about to air, otherwise i can imagine us sitting through endless Ad's just waiting..
October 25, 201014 yr Author Living is to be re-branded and upgraded...love that they mention Will in this article. Living is to be re-branded Sky Living as part of BSkyB's overhaul of the television broadcaster following its acquisition from Virgin Media. As already announced Bravo and Channel One are to be closed because they too similar to other Sky channels but Living will remain because of its strength in terms of audience - but it is to be renamed Sky Living. The channel will also move up the EPG (Sky's Electronic Programme Guide) so it is nearer to Sky One and the soon to be launched Sky Atlantic. Sky Atlantic is a new channel from the broadcaster which will show American dramas such as Mad Men, Six Feet Under and other programming acquired by Sky. Several months ago Sky and HBO signed a deal which allowed Sky access to the extensive HBO backlog of programmes and also future dramas and comedies all of which will air on Sky Atlantic. New HBO productions such as Broadwalk Empire and Games of Thrones will air on Sky Atlantic. Living will be re-branded early in 2011 and will also be boosted by an increase of 25% in its budget. The channel has already announced the commissioning of its first UK original drama, Bedlam which will star Will Young.http://www.atvnewsnetwork.co.uk/today/i ... g-re-brand Also Will is being interviewed for Sky this week..thanks to julie on the baby. AmyBrookbanks: @DailyStarGOSS I;m seeing Will Young this week - I;ll ask him if he might go naked... you never know!
October 25, 201014 yr Just to embroider that last Tweet a bit more here's the rest of the conversation: Thanks to Julie on Devoted for this: That tweet was in response to the tweet from the showbiz Daily Star Reporter: Just decided seeing Will Young, Olly Murrs and Matt Cardle on stage together, completely naked, would rock my world!! The person who replied is interviewing Will for Sky-she's their entertainment and celebrity writer: @DailyStarGOSS I'm seeing Will Young this week - I'll ask him if he might go naked... you never know! x and then the girl from the Daily Star replied: @AmyBrookbanks ask him Brookers!! I dare you x It's all about the music girls :P
October 31, 201014 yr Author thumbup: charlottesalt Charlotte Salt Tune into living channel to watch the promo for our new show BEDLAM!!! Spppoooookkkkkyyyy!
November 4, 201014 yr Thanks to Steffana on D for this: Another tweet from Ashley: Tomorrow is the last day on Bedlam... Im going through my costumes to see what in gonna keep. A definite perk of the jobAnd to RosieD for this: Will Young creates bedlam at Ask Developments' HQ By Daniel Cunningham on November 4, 2010 3:43 PM | No Comments | No TrackBacks And now for some celebrity news. Hanging out at Ask Developments' HQ in Manchester of late has been pop star turned actor Will Young. Will hasn't jacked in his career in music and television for one in property, however. Rather, he is busy filiming a new supernatural drama for Living TV, called Bedlam, and Ask's HQ is doubling up as the setting of a former asylum which is being transformed into loft-style flats (the commercial property angle) where scary goings-on start to happen. The six-part drama is being made by Manchester-based production company Red, which made the dramas 'Queer as Folk and 'Clocking Off.' Ask's HQ is a perfect backdrop; the refurbishment of a former schoolhouse retains plenty of elements of the Victorian institution which it used to be. If it weren't for the trendy furniture and colourful art hanging on the walls, it could even be a little creepy. As for Will himself, Ask development director John Hughes told me that he's a very nice chap who's been very polite to the star-struck staff. http://www.estatesgazette.com/blogs/focus/...opments-hq.html
December 16, 201014 yr Thanks to Julie on the O/S for finding this: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i142/nodgersboots/bedlam-431x300.jpg http://www.livingtv.co.uk/shows/coming-soon-2011.php?ssid=7 And to Roma on Devoted for this: Future Supernatural Saturdays in 2011 will debut the haunting all new six-part series, Bedlam. The sexy, contemporary paranormal program stars singer and actor Will Young (Pop Idol winner, Skins), Charlotte Salt (The Tudors), Theo James (A Passionate Woman), Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey), and Ashley Madekwe (Secret Diary of a Call Girl). Set in Bedlam Heights – an apartment building converted from a pre-Victorian lunatic asylum – the inhabitants experience the darker side of the building’s history when former asylum spirits come back to claim what they believe to be theirs and seek revenge on those who have wronged them. The terrifying hauntings that follow reveal that sometimes when you scratch away the surface, things aren’t always what they seem. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2010/12/1...i-in-2011/75671 With History being played on CSI Miami and now this, hopefully he'll get a toe-hold over there.
December 16, 201014 yr Thanks munchkin. Seems Wiil is taking a different route to most in getting himself known in the US. Wonder if he'll release his new album there too.
December 20, 201014 yr Couple of happy Tweets from David Allison: # Cannot tell you how excited we Bedlam writers are at getting a primetime slot for the BBC America transmission. Truly, we are thrilled. about 7 hours ago via web # neil_jones Yeah, we're only going out on BBC America in the same slot as Dr Who. Nah, no big deal. (Whistles nonchalantly) http://tinyurl.com/29ok5cv
December 21, 201014 yr Just posting this now it's unlocked  Transmission begins on Thursday 03 February. Thanks to Bumbling on the O/S. Was just saying on Devoted that some of us think Will only went on that Ruth Jones show to promote Bedlam, he hasn't got anything of his own to promote yet. They were supposed to show a clip but that whole segment was cut out. That's the second time their bit of promo has been a no-show. Can't say I'm surprised at Charlotte Salt's Tweet: They cut it!!!! Wgaaaaat! Says it all. Edited December 21, 201014 yr by munchkin
