Debut single from 31 year old Anglo-Pakistani singer Rumer, the Slow EP is #1 on the iTunes album chart already after being Radio 2 record of the week. She's been compared to Karen Carpenter vocally and I can definitely see that based on this single. However, having purchased and listened to the EP, her sound is very Sarah McLachlan, if you like that sort of thing. Sarah's latest album was seen as a bit of a disappointment by most, particularly after the 7 year wait for it, so perhaps Rumer will fill the laidback piano singer/songwriter niche? Judge for yourself;

 

TBH I don't think you're going to get much of a response here with this. No wonder it was Radio 2 record of the week.
