As I said in the individual forum the "game" if it can really be called that is too stressful and too time consuming, having played it for 2 days I just prefer the old system of making the odd post in News/Perspectives, Lounge, Reality tv as opposed to having to spend every waking hour on here trying to get points for team, I am going to a Spurs game tonight, probably the biggest game in our history and instead of enjoying it and looking forward to it instead I feel guilty that I am letting the team down by swanning off somewhere for the night and I should not feel guilty about having a "life" as opposed to this "game"

 

Add to that the fact that 1 of the teams either legally or illegally cherry picked all the various game winners and runners up (BJSC, Rate etc etc) and instead of 20 individuals getting to know each other they are instead 3 large cliques who already are mates and their captain acting like a crazed African despot the way he is running it it is physically and mentally impossible to catch them, I am not jesus.

 

So when I feel guilty about having a social life and lie in bed awake due to pressure of Silk Clique it is time to think fukk it and withdraw

 

erm, I'm not going to be posting for like 4-5 days in a row this weekend, do i feel guilty? like f*** I will. If you feel you let your team down by going to a football match then you take this faaaaaaaaaaaaaar too seriously.

If I am stressed about the "game" after 2 days what will I be like after 2 weeks or 2 months ?

 

It is not like there is a £1m cheque at the end of the game for the winner

Yeah I did not get to sleep till about 4am because I was thinking about Tyron etc (in a non sexual way of course)

 

When something takes over one's life with no reward at the end of it it aint worth the $h!t that goes with it

After the announcements of resignation by our two most antirren (anti-tirren), I think our team MIGHT be ready for talks with Silk Bullet again...

i don't get where your stress is coming from? this is a game on an internet forum, it's just for fun, you really need more in your life if you get this worked up and stressed over it.

 

I have a winning mentality in life be it a business deal or a game of snakes and ladders with my nephews, whatever I do I have to be 1st, nothing else is acceptable, that can be good but on the other hand it has bad points that come with it.

 

When I sat up till 4am thinking how I can beat Tyron and felt guilty about going to a football game I knew then that my time was up in this

i'm guessing as you play snakes and ladders with your nephews they are quite young? bit mean that you get so competitive against them that you have to be 1st.

 

when something is for fun, what does it matter who is number 1 or not, as long as it has been fun.

 

i dont mean to be rude, but you are a massive loser if you stayed up until 4am thinking about how you could beat a teenager on an online game on the internet.

LOL yeah one is 8 and the other 11 but even when they were 5 and 8 I would still go into games with them as if I was going into the final of a world championship of something :blush: if they beat me I would be a mardy bugger for a couple of hours after because I lost, not throw things about but just sit and sulk till I snapped out of it

 

It is just the way I am, part of my DNA

I do feel more relaxed now that I don't have to play the "game"

 

I am looking forward to going back to being a Lounge/Perspectives/Reality TV poster without refreshing the post counts page for the teams every few mins to see if their lead has grown or arguing over technicalities with Tyron.
