Sound Of The Underground - May 2003

1 - Sound of the underground - December 2002

2 - No good advice - May 2003

3 - Life got cold - August 2003

4 - Jump - November 2003

IMO, the first era was done to perfection. Sound of the underground was a brilliant first single and it gave the girls an edge. Showing they mean business, they released no good advice as the second single, which showed they had attitude and weren't afraid to show it. Life got cold was the perfect choice for a third single as it showed another sound for the girls. The first era ended perfectly as Jump showed the fun and bubbly side to the girls which wasn't seen with their first 3 singles.

What Will The Neighbours Say - September 2004

5 - The show - June 2004

6 - Love Machine - September 2004

7 - I'll stand by you - November 2004

8 - Wake me up - February 2005

9 - Graffiti my soul - April 2005

The seond era was also done perfection. The show really was a great promotion single and it gave the fans of girls aloud that the second era was going to be much bigger than the first. Love machine captured the hearts of many fans with it's quirky lyrics and strong beat and although I'll stand by you was a cover version, it really gave the girls a chance to show their true vocals. Wake me up was a good single choice as it showed the fans they still had attitude and the perfect way to end the era would have been if they released Graffiti my soul as the final single. That would have cemeted the girls more fans as it showed them at their best.

Chemistry - November 2005

10 - Biology - November 2005

11 - Whole lotta history - February 2006

12 - Waiting - May 2006

13 - Long hot summer - August 2006

To kick start the third era, they should have released Biology. This is like five songs wrapped into one and it would have gained them another number 1 if released and promoted heavily as it quickly became a fan favourite. Next, I would have had them release Whole lotta history around valentines day as it would have suited the theme well. It would have also showcased the girls vocals once again. Next, I would have released Waiting as that shows a different style of music to the singles they have previously released. I would have ended the era with Long hot summer just for a fun single during the summer.

Tangled Up - November 2007

14 - Sexy no no no - August 2007

15 - Call the shots - November 2007

16 - Something kinda ooooh - March 2008

17 - Can't speak french - June 2008

18 - Girl overboard - August 2008

The Tangled Up era was absolutely amazing the way it was, only I would have released Girl overboard as the 5th and final single and would have also included Something kinda ooooh on the album. Sexy no no no no was the perfect lead single. The beginning of the song captured the audiences attention from the off and it proved to be a great tour opener. Call the shots (best single to date) was the perfect second single as it showed a mature side to the girls, which previous singles didn't really show. Instead of releasing the Greatest Hits, I would have included Something kinda ooooh onto the Tangled Up album and release it as the 3rd single as it would have flowed well during that era. Can't speak french showed that the girls may have matured, but still have fun with their music. Girl overboard ending the era would have made the album sell by the bucket load as it was a show stopper and was clearly a fan favourite and would have gained them new fans from afar.

Out Of Control - October 2009

19 - The Promise - October 2009

20 - Miss you bow wow - January 2010

21 - The loving kind - April 2010

22 - Rolling back the rivers - July 2010

23 - Untouchable - September 2010

The promise was a great lead single to start the 5th era. It sounded completely different to anything they have ever done before and it gained them loads of new fans. It was also at this point where the girls could do no wrong. Miss you bow wow would have made the best second single due to the fact it's got catchy lyrics and a great beat. For the third single, I would have went with The loving kind. It would have shown the girls being mature once more and it works its way around Call the shots in terms of the sound. For the 4th single, I would have had them release Rolling back the rivers. The reason for this is due to the fact that it sounds summery and could have had a great summer video. To end the era, I would have went with Untouchable as it clearly was a fan favourite at the time of the album release.

I think if they released 5 singles from either Tangled Up or Out Of Control, they would have a few lowley charting singles. The fact 'Untouchable' only made #11 as single no3 tells us that.

No offense, but personally, I think Something Kinda Ooooh would not have fitted in the Tangled Up era:

I think it was that era when they became more different if you understand me.

By that, I mean that they were moving ever so slightly away from the pop sound and moving to the mature sounding music, that influenced the next album (OOC, with a couple of exceptions)

Releasing 'Models' and/or 'Watch Me Go' from Chemistry.

Releasing 'Control Of The Knife', 'Girl Overboard' and 'Close To Love' from Tangled Up.

Those are the only glowing mistakes for me.
