Posted August 30, 201014 yr Yes, Svante has resigned after being overseeing the Eurovision since late 2003! :o I'll miss seeing his ugly mug on my screen it has to be said! Other news just in...only the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Germany will qualify for next year's contest, meaning that 24 countries will take part in the final as opposed to 25 this year. Songs selected now can't have been publically performed before September 1st, a month earlier than previously.
September 4, 201014 yr They changed the rule too late. Deadlines had already been set, so we probably won't hear any possible entries until October 1st this year still  But my booklet (the one which comes with the official CD), has a message from Svante about how all these countries are coming together to present new songs, and if I've been listening to a song since September 1st, it isn't really new to me by May  Edited September 4, 201014 yr by eJackulate
