Unpopular opinion probably and I definitely feel a little generous with the Sale El Sol scores. SOB.

I can't bring myself to play the album yet due to lack of time but I gave Devocion a quick spin and it is a-mazing. If she recorded it in English it would be huge.

A very mixed bag. Disappointing overall.

I think Devocion was originally recorded for She Wolf, but left off because it didn't fit. It's a Sam Endicott/John Hill song (MITT) but Jorge Drexler is credited for lyrics co write, and the only other songs he's co written have been Loba, Anhos Luz and Lo Hecho Esta Hecho, ie all the translations from She Wolf.

I can see her re-recording anything planned to be released after Loca in English too, as she knows that she has markets to please that won't accept a spanish song with open arms.. or at least the UK (If Loca gets to number one)

Gordita sounded amazing at glasto, it was so much harder and heavy metal sounding... the album version sounds bland! I was excited about a HQ version of this song too!
This album is definitely the highlight of her successful career. I personally like Antes de la Seis and MARIPOSAS, I really really love this one.
She should have used the sound of Devoción/Islands/Tu Boca for the entire album. So good.

i agree.

I agree but i love the way gordita sounded more 'rocky' when she sang it at glasto?

Does anybody know when it is released in the UK?! I wonder if she will add Give It Up To Me on to the album for the UK to beef up the number of English songs.

I know you were joking, but tracks 3-6 on the Amazon Germany tracklisting is:

Loca (Feat. El Cata)

Loca (Feat. Dizzee Rascal)

Rabiosa (Feat. El Cata)

Rabiosa (Feat. Pitbull)

Anyway, listening to the clips, apart from the weird track listing, it sounds AMAZING  So glad she's going back to her roots, and can't wait to see her at Christmas :w00t:

you going to the O2 just before Christmas ? I wanted to go and had priority tickets but no one to go with :(

Awww. That sucks. Yep, going to the O2 on December 20 :w00t:

The album is out UK on November 8 apparently :o Three weeks before the single - ODD :( I can't see it going to #1 now :(

That's what ManicKangaroo's release schedule says...
