Make up artist Dale Dorning has been busy following Delta Goodrem around Melbourne. He's been doing the make up for her MCG Commonwealth Games opening performance and other commitments. And through Delta, Dale met Bruno Schiavi last week as well. He's Priscilla Presley's business partner and the man behind Delta's lingerie line.

"Priscilla is coming back to Australia this year and Bruno said he wanted to book me to do her make-up." Dale said. "It's amazing, I mean Priscilla is an icon. It's the ultimate reward."

There's no date for Priscilla's arrival, but the trip will be tied in with promoting her line of homewares.

Dale said it had been great to hang out with Delta and her boyfriend Brian McFadden, who helped her write her Commonwealth Games song Together We Are One. There was talk Delta momed the song during the opening ceremony, but Delta denied this.

"She rehearsed for two days for that performance," he said. "There's no way she would mime."

Delta also ended up in a catfight between rival brekkie shows Sunrise and Today.

It was reported the singer was delayed at Seven's studios where she appeared on Sunrise, making her late for Nine's Today.

Today producers were said to be furious probably fuelled by Sunrise hosts David Koch and Melissa Doyle's comments.

"There's another show saying they have Delta today, but Delta is a Seven lady," Koch told viewers.

Doyle added: "Yeah, she's part of the family." "She goes nowhere else," Koch said.

Delta made it to Nine studios at five to nine, meaning she could do a four-minute performance in front of waiting crowds.

The whole thing was a beat-up, according to Dale, who was with Delta the whole time. "No one can dictate her schedule. Her team works like a machine," he said. "She just got caught up with fans, there's nothing more to it."
