September 2, 201014 yr Author ^ I highly doubt it. I think it's definitely a possibility. California Gurls is still in the Top 10 of the airplay chart and gained on Alicia by over 30 million last week alone. Alicia is currently 147 million ahead of Katy, so at that rate Katy could overtake in 5 weeks. I don't think Katy will continue to catch up as quickly as that, but there are still 18 weeks of the year left, so I think she definitely has a good shot at overtaking at some point. I guess we'll see in the weeks ahead.
