Bloomin' Ayda

ROBBIE WILLIAMS and his missus AYDA have been out on the town in London for the first time since their wedding last month.

Robbie, who has rejoined TAKE THAT, escorted his leggy bride for dinner at Locanda Locatelli in the West End.

And actress Ayda looked blooming sensational in a short lace dress.

http://img.thesun.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01118/SNF03BIZROBB-380_1118137a.jpg

I'm glad to say Rob changed out of an earlier outfit, a nice denim jeans and jacket combo he is pictured in here.

The newlyweds, who tied the knot at their Beverly Hills mansion, are holed up at a Soho hotel. Robbie has also revealed some of the tales which will be in his new book, You Know Me - out later this month.

It features stories from the last 20 years, as well as photos and doodles from his private collection.

He talks about 1996 as "the wasted year... I did everything because I could, and there was nobody there to tell me no".

Robbie also opens up about Glastonbury in 1998, Knebworth five years later, his breakdown in 2006, finding happiness with Ayda and relaxing with his dogs.

He confesses that he loves his body and that: "If I had an extra inch I'd be naked all the time."

A bit too much info, Robbie.

It will be a similar glossy hardback to his first autobiography, Feel.

The next few weeks will be expensive but rewarding for Robbie fans.

New single Shame, his duet with Take That pal GARY BARLOW, is released next month.

That's followed by his new Greatest Hits album, In And Out Of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990-2010.

Then finally there's the new Take That album coming out in time for Christmas.

Robbie Tops The Bill To Light Up Blackpool

Friday September 03, 2010

Lulu Sinclair, Sky News Online

Robbie Williams is due in Blackpool tonight to switch on the lights that will stay on for the next 66 days.

Thousands will be there to see Robbie switch on the lights

Williams will head a celebrity cast, including Russell Watson, a Lancashire native, Alesha Dixon and Wanted, five boys with great appeal for the teen market.

Also in the line up are Bond, Gabriella Cilmi whose first single Sweet About Me was the most played single of 2009, and US pop rockers, the Plain White T's.

While Robbie will not be performing, there will be a medley of the star's greatest hits to electrify the audience.

Locals were so enthusiastic about his appearance that thousands logged on to the visitBlackpool website, officials say.

It is not known if his new bride, Ayda Field, will be with him though fans are hoping for a glimpse.

"This is truly a wonderful line-up and we're delighted that we'll be welcoming thousands of people to the resort for Switch-On night," said councillor Maxine Callow.

The illuminations attract more than three million visitors a year and stretch across the world famous sands for more than six miles.

The first lights display was put on in 1879, with just eight arc lamps lighting up the promenade.

How times have changed...

The Say You, Say Me singer claimed he has been toying with the potential collaboration for a while, but nothing has come to fruition.

Lionel dropping Rob's name for publicity imo - I was shocked to see he has reduced himself to do a new advert for bloody Walkers crisps. Surely he doesnt need to do that? I wouldve thought he was one of the richest pop stars in the world. It's a shame really and makes him look desperate. He is a great songwriter though - if Rob wants to continue down the MOR road giving Lionel the duet he wants could be the makings of another 'nice' ballad. :D

Robbie Williams plans to buy $7M Tudor mansion

The 'Shame' singer - who married long-term girlfriend Ayda Field in a secret ceremony last month - has fallen in love with 15th century Brenchley Manor, near Tunbridge Wells on Kent, South England and has reportedly been bombarding local residents with questions about the area.

After his second visit to the property - which boasts two cottages separate from the main house within the grounds - Robbie and a friend popped into the nearby Elm Tree pub.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "He asked the barmaid about the area. It's the talk of the village."

The 36-year-old singer moved back to England last year but returned to Los Angeles after just eight months because he and Ayda, 31, disliked the cold weather.

He said at the time: "Ayda's always wanted to have the change in the seasons - and it's winter and glorious. The garden is pretty special, a winter wonderland and you just want to get cozy.

"Then it comes to summer and the weather doesn't change that much. Then you think, 'Hmm, L.A. was good'. Every day you wake up you're in the sun. Your body feels different, your mind feels different - so we're going back."

Robbie Williams has mystery illness

Robbie Williams has revealed he is battling a mystery illness which left him depressed and lethargic.

21 September 2010

The ‘Shame’ singer claims he has only just discovered that what he thought was depression was a different condition and says his life has dramatically changed since he was diagnosed.

He said: “I thought I was lethargic and depressed as a person. I thought that was my make-up.

"I found out a few months ago that I'd been ill, completely by mistake, and I don’t want to go into the whys and wherefores but what I had made you lethargic and made you depressed and I’d had it for years and not known and I'm on treatment for it. It’s changed my life."

The 36-year-old pop star also spoke of his struggle to deal with fame, admitting he went “mental”, but thinks it was to be expected because of the level of success he achieved as a member of Take That and later as a solo artist.

He told British radio station Magic 105.4: "I don't think anybody's responded to it particularly well when they get to a certain level.

"Elton John went mental, Elvis (Presley) went mental, I went mental. Everybody at some point, at some stage, goes bonkers."

Speaking about his debut solo single, a cover of George Michael’s hit ‘Freedom’ released in 1996, Robbie admitted he should have taken time out of the music business to address his alcohol problem when he quit Take That in 1995 to go it alone.

He said: “I recorded ‘Freedom’ to get the record company off my back.

“I was in a bad, bad way. It was pre-rehab and I’d just finished off the top drawer in the mini bar - the whole top drawer, all the liquors and spirits - then started the video.

“I was in a very, very bad way so I wasn’t making the best choices as you can imagine. I realised that I’d got to go to rehab, I was an alcoholic.”

Besotted Robbie Williams 'laughed' at naked Kylie Minogue

Robbie Williams has revealed he fancied Kylie Minogue for years, but blew his chances by drunkenly laughing at the Aussie singer when she stripped naked in front of him.

The pair teamed up to record the music video to their hit 2000 single Kids, but the final scenes involved Kylie stripping down to her G-string, prompting Robbie to burst into a fit of giggles.

What made matters worse is that the Angels singer had fancied the pint-sized pop princess for years.

Apparently he had not been told that one of the scenes would feature her taking off a robe.

Williams admitted in his new book, You Know Me, that Kylie was left ‘offended’ and he became a ‘bit of a teenage boy’ around her because he’d admired her for so long.

'I just burst out laughing. Which I don't think went down well with Kylie.

'I may have offended her too, because she must have felt vulnerable too, being naked on set, and being naked in front of me.'

Robbie wasn't backwards about coming forwards in those days - what's that you're looking at there? Robbie wasn't backwards about coming forwards in those days - what's that you're looking at there?

He also revealed that he knew he'd lost his shot with her at that point: 'I think that any chance of anything disappeared when I laughed at her. Perhaps she likes being naked, but she probably doesn't enjoy being laughed at by some Stokie idiot.

‘I couldn't figure out why my banter wouldn't work, why my natural ability to just be myself went awry,' he added.

But Kylie can seek solace in the fact that Robbie was under the influence of the potent stuff when they were filming. He’d downed a load of Drambuie liqueur to settle his nerves but confessed this ‘backfired.’

The newly-married man hopes including this in his book will act as some form of apology to Kylie.

You Know Me by Robbie Williams and Chris Heath is published today by Ebury Press and costs £20 in hardback.

Williams praises Buble's swing talent

By WENN.COM

British singer Robbie Williams is pleased Michael Buble "wasn't around" when he released his swing album in the early 2000s - because he's convinced the Canadian star now rules the genre.

The Angels hitmaker covered classics including Mr. Bojangles and Mack the Knife for 2001's Swing When You're Winning, but he's sure his efforts would have been overlooked by fans if Buble had been present in the charts at the same time.

He tells Britain's Magic 105.4 radio station, "My dad's record collection is full of swing stuff - Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. - so I've been brought up on swing really and Michael Buble wasn't around to ruin it for everybody at the time, because he's the real deal.

"Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Buble - they're kind of the only guys who have been doing it in the last 15 years and doing it very, very well.

"Fortunately Harry Connick, Jr. was on a break and Michael Buble wasn't around so there was a void and I filled that before Michael Buble showed how to do it properly."

Mflow has partnered with EMI on a Robbie Williams competition that will appear in this weekend’s Mail On Sunday.

The competition offers fans the opportunity to win a pair of tickets for a Robbie Williams’ gig in Paris in October. It will be promoted on the front page of the Mail on Sunday this Sunday, as well as on mailonline.co.uk

By entering the competition, entrants will automatically become mflow users and will receive an 11-minute remix of Williams’ Let Me Entertain You plus two free tracks.

Mflow users can follow each other and “flow” (recommend) tracks to other users. The promotion will see Williams recommending his own favourite tracks, as well as “re-flowing” songs from his followers.

Mflow head of music Don Jenkins says, “Robbie Williams is one of the most successful artists and best performers this country has ever produced so we are delighted to be working with him in partnership with EMI and The Mail on Sunday. Robbie Williams left house owner inundated with fan mail

27/09/2010

Robbie Williams has left the owner of a country house inundated with fan mail after viewing his property.

Williams, 36, recently looked around Brenchley Manor in Kent, UK, after its owner James Bruckmann put it up for sale.

He did not put an offer in on the property and it has since been sold but the house has been receiving sackfuls of fan mail and local residents have been forced to put signs up telling postmen not to deliver the mail.

A source said to UK newspaper Daily Star: "We were amazed to hear Robbie may be moving here and now it's clear the whole world knows. His fans are sending so much mail the postmen are struggling to cope.

"And the owners of the house have been overrun too."

Robbie Williams admits he went 'psycho' on cactus cocktail

Published: Sunday, Sep 26, 2010,

In a shocking revelation, Robbie Williams has admitted taking 60s psychedelic drug mescaline, made from cactus, during his downward spiral in the final days of ‘Take That version 1.0’.

In one mad session in Ibiza during the group's mid-90s heyday, Robbie said he downed a cocktail that included the mind-warp mixture.

"I wasn't going to do any drugs because I had to be back at Gary Barlow's house the next day. But I drank these drinks called Poco Locos, at 30 quid a glass, which had mescaline, acid and ecstasy in them,” News Of The World quoted the rock star as saying.

"I had to catch a plane early in the morning, totally and utterly off my head. I got to Gary Barlow's house and everybody was waiting for me. I went in and I put my hands up and went, 'I've found God!' Then I collapsed and went to sleep for 48 hours in his bed," he recalled a little more from his drenched in drink past.

Not surprisingly Robbie didn't manage to get the recording done and it wasn't long before he fell out with Gary, his new best mate.
