Posted September 6, 201014 yr We haven't had a countdown on here in what must be years. Recorded the Official Top 20 Singles by Rob on VH1 last night - they gave rough sales for each single which was great to see - pretty up to date as well it seems so I thought I'd do a countdown but with Live performances instead of the vids. We all know what is #1 but there are some surprises along the way - and many classics not even in the countdown. :o You can make predictions and comments along to way :smoke: Before we start here is the singles that missed out. Didnt include them as the figs are only estimates of updated figs and not part of the countdown. 21 - Robbie Williams = Rudebox :: 80k 22 - Robbie Williams = Let Love Be Your Energy :: 80k 23 - Robbie Williams = Advertising Space :: 70k 24 - Robbie Williams = Lovelight :: 70k 25 - Robbie Williams = Come Undone :: 65k 26 - Robbie Williams = South Of The Border :: 45k 27 - Robbie Williams = Misunderstood :: 40k 28 - Robbie Williams = Sexed Up :: 35k 29 - Robbie Williams with Pet Shop Boys = She's Madonna :: 30k 30 - Robbie Williams = Sin Sin Sin :: 25k 31 - Robbie Williams = Morning Sun :: 25k Thanks to Haven Edited September 6, 201014 yr by De Niro
September 6, 201014 yr Author Starting off the countdown at #20 comes the 1997 classic Lazy Days - an epic soaring anthem that is highly underrated. Great atmospheric video but here is the classic Slane Castle performance. 20. Lazy Days Sales: 80,000 Peak: #8 Live From Slane Castle YR0tGi2LnLc
September 6, 201014 yr Author Next is the 3rd single from Escapology - a very catchy pop song but not one of my faves. Rob and Guy originally wrote it for Tom Jones but decided to keep it - don't think he likes it very much though - didnt perform it on the 2003 tour and left it off the 04 Greatest Hits. 19. Something Beautiful Sales: 80,000 Peak: #3 Live From Festivalbar 2 - Italy 97yauH4RMps
September 6, 201014 yr Author Coming in at 17 is Rob's 6th and latest UK#1 - from 2004's Greatest Hits. Not one of my faves but a refreshingly different type of song for a pop star back then. A Risk that paid off by reaching the top spot. Brilliant live as evident from the vid from Brazil :D 18. Radio Sales: 100,000 Peak Position: #1 Live from Rio de Janeiro - CE Tour 06 yt7KGMSUXkw
September 6, 201014 yr Author Next is the debut single from the debut album - this Oasis-like anthem reached #2 in 1997. Always been one of my faves - great live too. :D 17. Old Before I Die Sales: 175,000 Peak Position: #2 Live in Cologne Germany gsAuv4mGSJc Edited September 6, 201014 yr by De Niro
September 6, 201014 yr Author The 3rd single from IBEY - Rob's 10x Platinum Selling 2nd album.Brilliant lyrics with a great sing-along chorus makes for a cracking live song. :D 16: Strong Sales: 180,000 Peak Position: #4 Slane Castle qY6eLptuvWQ
September 6, 201014 yr Author The lead single from Rob's best selling studio album ever worldwide - Intensive Care. Again very different, sounded nothing like anything else in the charts at the time. Bob Marley meets Sting  Global #1 hit single but just missed the top spot in the UK due to the Sugababe hit 'Push The Button'. Love this song so much - and here is the great EMA performance with the stage dive :D 15. Tripping Sales: 190,000 Peak Position: #2 Live MTV EMA's 05 t7IGPR5DEdU
September 6, 201014 yr Author The epic classic that is Supreme - samples 'I will Survive''s music - a fantastic beat and a great little rap as well. One of my all time faves without a doubt. :D 14. Supreme Sales: 195,000 Peak: #4 Live in Berlin 05 5OLscO2RZOE
September 6, 201014 yr Author This anthem with Kylie just missed the top spot being beaten by U2's classic 'Beautiful Day'. It's a great duet but I am glad BD beat it :P They only performed it together 3 times - TOTP, Rob's Manchester gig and the MTV EMA's - great chemistry :D 13. Kids (with Kylie Minouge) Sales: 225,000 Peak: #2 MTV EMA's 00 05zTPQCarJ8
September 6, 201014 yr Author Rob's big comeback single was a massive European smash hit - #1 on the European Hot 100 for ages and #2 Worldwide - an epic tune that I love more now than ever before - it's very addictive and I always find myself singing it even if I havent heard it in ages - such brilliant orchestrial arrangment and I really like the odd lyrics too - my fave performance of the promo - ARIA Awards :D 12. Bodies Sales: 240,000 Peak: #2 ARIA Awards - Australia 2009 4KJCpfXilQQ
September 6, 201014 yr Author Many consider Feel to be Rob's best song but it isnt even in the top 10. The main reason being it was stupidly released AFTER Escapology despite being the lead single - this was so it had a shot at being Xmas #1. Wouldve easily been #1 had it been released before the album but typical EMI. Here it is from The Tonight Show - an odd choice of performance but I just love it - hilarious - especially the part with Simon Cowell :P 11. Feel Sales: 245,000 Peak: #4 The Tonight Show With Jay Leno - USA 2003 SqP1l-b4tSg
September 6, 201014 yr Author The first single in the top 10 is Rob's most recent hit from RKTVS - a very catchy pop song that I like but certainly isnt among my faves - prob because it reminds me of Something Beautiful - although I think I prefer SB. Anyway here it is from the XF Final :D 10. You Know Me Sales: 250,000 Peak: #6 Live X Factor UK - 2009 rdHJArmCjXU
September 6, 201014 yr Author Yep, shocking how Freedom could be ahead of Feel  This George Michael cover was Rob's debut single after leaving TT. It's the 'forgotten single' really mainly due to Rob's hatred of it. I have always really liked the cover and think Rob's voice really suits it. Ridiculous for it to be so high though. 09. Freedom Sales: 255,000 Peak: #2 Live Smash Hits Awards 1996 IZ9IEDC9MKI
September 6, 201014 yr Author One of the best songs ever written in my view - everything is pure perfection here. Epic is not the word. Here is the excellent Knebworth performance  08. No Regrets Sales: 265,000 Peak: #4 Knebworth UKta7rfbBAU Edited September 6, 201014 yr by De Niro
September 6, 201014 yr Author The ultimate gig opener and ultimate live track to get a stadium bouncing. There are endless classic performances but here is Live 8. He truly did steal the whole show and woke A LOT of people up  07. Let Me Entertain You Sales: 300,000 Peak: #4 Live from Live 8 - London W2Vy0VfLXDQ
September 6, 201014 yr Author My least favorite Robbie single - cheesy, bland and lifeless - a bit like Shame really  Anyway it was Xmas #1 in 2001 and is a duet with Hollywood star Nicole Kidman. 06. Something Stupid (with Nicole Kidman) Sales:365,000 Peak: #1 Live on TOTP XX6rOoQ6bGw
September 6, 201014 yr Author Two amazing ballads - released as a double A-side. Another #1 in 2001, this time in the summer. Two great performances. 05. Eternity/The Road To Mandalay Sales: 375,000 Peak: #1 Live from Abbey Road gPIVv1pyGb0 Live from Manchester 14HcHl_giV4 Edited September 6, 201014 yr by De Niro
September 6, 201014 yr Author Another double A-side #1 hit - both from IBEY - two totally different tunes. Two great live performances. 04. She's The One/It's Only Us Sales: 450,00 Peak: #1 She's The One -Slane Ej6v3TItEpY It's Only Us - Apocalypse Tube ClMgNbz1JGQ Edited September 6, 201014 yr by De Niro
September 6, 201014 yr Author His first #1 and a classic pop songs. Defo one of the pop songs from the last 15 years that will still be played in 50 years time. The classic Slane performance - have I mentioned I was there? :P  03. Millennium Sales: 480,000 Peak: #1 Slane kOpg2HUJiGE
September 6, 201014 yr Author Another pop classic here - it has sold nearly 2 million globally and has one of the best music videos of all time (3rd best according to the 4music poll recently). Two great performances. 2. Rock DJ Sales: 635,000 Peak: #1 Live in Cologne Vwm972fMfLY Mexico 2006 iRKjYGOwMVw
